Casio Ctk 496 Electronic Keyboard with 61 Keys, drivers needed

So, i have a ctk-496 electronic keyboard from casio (61keys), and i have been searching google for almost a day but i just can't find any drivers...

I have the piano, and i bought a mid to usb cable, so that i could play it on my computater... i'm trying to use it particulary on Synthesia, its like a game...

the computer recognises the usb connection(Composed usb device), and also as a audio device(Audio device usb)

I´ve got exactly the same problem. It states to be a Midi in/out Keyboard... but now that i got the usb-midi-cable and the cable is found as a music driver/adapter/whatsoever i still cant use it with Fl Studio... :(

I have the same problem, I heard about MIDI Channels in the keyboard too, does that somehow factor in?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling both the keyboard and the game. If that doesn't work then the keyboard may not be compatible with the software.

The link i have attached is a direct to Casio's website and their user manuals. i dont think the one your looking for is on the however, you might find a model very similar to yours to use as a reference.

I have a CTK-496. I bought the usb to connect from the keyboard to the computer. When I have it activated on Fl Studio, but I press the keys, nothing plays but the regular keyboard. Its like the keyboard...

You have to install the MIDI type software in the PC to trigger the sound card's voices. You may also need a driver for the keyboard. Search the Casio site for downloads pertaining to your keyboard.

I have connected my casio to pc but pc songs and piano sound is not hearing in pc how it will work if any driver will use tell me about that i have casio ctk-2100 electronic keyboard

ASSUMING you have a MIDI interface connection, (not audio) then you need to set the PC to use a general MIDI sound and turn on the synth in the PC.

Go to control panel and open the sound icon. Select the device to use for MIDI playback in the appropriate section.

Can I use it as controller for Fruity Loops? How? Thanks. The model that I have is Casio CTK 496.

You can use this keyboard via MIDI to send note on/off information to FriutyLoops. Use for control functions will be somewhat limited to voice change, velocity, and aftertouch.

No display light on my casio ctk 496 every thing else works

Sorry, but many of the low end keyboards do NOT have backlights. This is especially true of those that have the capability of running off batteries like the CTK-496.

The display in this is a reflectance type that needs ambient lighting to view.

Casio ctk-496 claims to be midi keyboard controller

Try downloading MidiOx and troubleshooting with it. It will show you if you have any midi activity and which channel your Casio is transmitting on etc.

According to the manual for the 496, "All keyboard settings are returned to their initial defaults whenever keyboard power is turned back on after being turned off by operation of the Power/Mode switch or Auto Power Off.
