Question about Maytag MAH2400A Front Load Washer

Plugged drain hose.

How to unplug it. Have tried to blow through drain hose from drain end to dislodge whatever is in hose; obviously is plugged, since all I do is generate pressure in the hose - no relief of pressure of air coming out the other end.

Lay the unit on it's right side and remove the cardboard bottom shield. You will see the pump. Disconnect the pump discharge hose. Take a sewing needle and open the anit siphon disc, and behind it you should find a nickle or maybe 2. They WILL fit through the pump, but not the drain line, and act like a stopper. Good luck.

Some m/c's have a non return valve fitted at the pump end of the outlet hose, this wud prevent u blowing down it, u need to remove the hose completely from the pump to check for blockage.
Polz rate my solution.

It is some time since I worked on a Maytag washer, but as I recall the pump is located behind the front panel at the right hand side

U will see the 2 hoses going to it.

U should see 2 screws at the bottom front, undo these and pull the bottom of the panel towards u, then spring it out at the top.

This should give u access to the pump.

Hope this does the trick for u

With A/C operating, why is there water on the driver side floor?

Alan, look for a dislodged or plugged drain hose. A/C makes water normally, through condensation. This water normally drips on to the street. Look for a black hose, about 1/2 inch in diameter. Often gets kicked out of place by a passenger, unknowingly.

WHY water not GOING OUT

It could be a bad pump, or a clogged drain hose, first guesses.
At the end of the hose that the water should be draining out of, try blowing in it to see if its plugged. Better yet, get somebody else to blow in it, as it is probably yucky.

Model # FUF17DACWH Freezer is leaking water

After the defrost mode, the water from the melted frost or ice should go down the drain at the bottom back of the freezer compartment. That drain is probably plugged with some gooey gunk. If its an upright freezer, there will be a hose clamped to the back that comes out of a plastic fitting.. detach it there and 'fish' into the plastic fitting with a short piece of wire then blow into it to dislodge whatever may be there. Blow downward on the hose as it too could (probably not) be plugged between there and the drain pan under the bottom of the refrigerator.

Severe cases require that the freezer back be removed and the drain thoroughly cleaned. That gets real tricky, but its doable. Ice makers in the way complicate the process too.

My AMana AP077R portable air conditioner was plugged in but turned off. Alarm went off, checked water to drain. Unplugged, plugged back hour later, alarm went off again.

Kathy, it sounds as if you are using a hose to drain the water to a floor drain.

If that is the case, do the following after turning the unit OFF & unplugging it:

1. Disconnect the hose from the unit and check the hose for clogs.

2. If none are found in # 1, the clog is in the unit's hose connection and/or internal tubing.

3. Using an 18" long plastic Zip Tie or something similar (NO wire coat hangers, though) insert the Zip Tie carefully into the hose connection on the unit and push it in, until you reach a bend in the tubing. You must gingerly work it past this bend, until the Zip Tie bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull it back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will dislodge any clogs. As you reach the end of the exiting Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow.

Hop this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know.Thanks.

Water leaking from ac on passenger side front floor board on 2006 Dodge Stratus.

Look for an evaporator drain that is clogged. You'll find it on the firewall possibly on the underside of the car. It will look like a hose that is coming out of the car and is connected to nothing. You can try sticking a coat hanger gently in the hose to try and dislodge whatever is blocking it, usually leaves.

Ice build-up in bottom of freezer section.

your defrost drain on the freezer side is stopped up causing the drain to freeze over then eventually running out on the floor during the defrost cycle. Locate the drain at the back of the freezer and thaw it out using hot water. Using a screw driver or other object gently push down into the defrost hole and dislodge whatever is stuck there.

An air hose with good air pressure may also work well. When the drain line is clear you should be able to pour water through it freely.

Air conditioning leaking on passenger floor board

There is a drain hose that releases the condensation to the ground. It is probably plugged and the condensation is overflowing on the floor. Look under the vehicle same area as the leak is on the floor and find an open end of a hose. Blow air up thru it or run a long wire up to unplug it. Good luck Darrell S

1997 Plymouth Voyager front passenger water leaking

I just had mine in for the same problem - open the hood, just below where the wipers sit is a big plastic tray that will fill up with water and overflow down into your vent openings behindt the dashboard because the drain holes &/or hoses in the tray are plugged. Look for 2 hoses that connect to the bottom of the big tray (one near each end) - disconnect the hoses and use compressed air or something to unclog them. If all else fails, I suppose you could leave them disconnected, but cleaning them out is obviously better.
