I have a problem with a Zebra Z6M Printer. It will try and print a label but then stop after 2cm and say the paper is out.
Error Condition Paper Out
I then open up the printer and open and close the print head and the error is cleared. Then unpause the printer and does the same thing.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks

I would venture a guess that the sensor that detects the labels isn't working well - it's supposed to see the difference between label and backing paper and stop at the correct position.
This is I think due to the data being sent to your printer.
On a Z4m the width is 4 inch and whatever is beyond is not printed.
On your Z6M the coordinates are valid so your printer will print the code.
Usually that means that the labels are missing from the printer. Turn the printer off. Reload the label stock and restart the computer it is connected to. Then it should work properly.
First clean the sensor tag and sensor head open and tape. Then perform a calibration label pressing the PAUSE and FEED buttons and turn on the printer, release the keys until it starts to move the label. Wait until you are finished and ready to print.
We use Nice Labels software in house and it uses the standard windows printer drivers. A good alternate site for printer drivers is seagullscientific.com. Any further driver probs, contact me at www.lancerlabels.co.uk
