1) try leaving it on to charge via a usb powered port for a day if lights come on,
if not hould down the playstation button for 1min and make sure the ps3 is not on even stand by
then plug the controler into the ps3 with the cable turn the ps3 on with out the controlonce loaded now try.
if still does not work then you need to get a next control.
i had same problem turn off your system with controller plugged in to usb unplug controller remove the power cable for a couple of mins reconnect and use controller PS button to turn system on and it should be back to normal. it worked for me
It sounds like the plug itself may be damaged. I would recommend finding a replacement cord for it as this can cause a fire hazard if it is not connecting properly. You should have registered your PS3 on the sony website. This will provide you with a number of support options. Just visit Sony.com and select support. This is should assist you. They have a huge forum over there as well that will assist with any further issues you might have.
plug the controller into the ps3 and then try it..... a lot of times if you unplug the ps3 it wont recognize the controller next time you turn it on this should help
Well the first thing is you should check that the AV cables are properly plugged into the TV and console and that the TV is set for the proper input. If that doesn't work try to hold the power button down for a few moments, that will reset the PS3's sound/video output to the default settings. That failing you can always try a new set of cables.
If these things fail it's possible your video card is bad, your tv's input may be not receiving a signal properly(e.g. not working) or some other flaw in the PS3 hardware.
