Acer x193 moniter shows no signal

Not to be too simplistic, but have you moved either the desktop computer or the monitor recently. Even if you haven't, check to make sure the video cable is plugged in completely on the back of the monitor and into the computer. It may look plugged in, but is not making a complete connection.

My Acer moniter (P244w) has recently begun to show different colors (red, blue, etc) print. Is it the moniter or something that I can correct on my PC?

This could be a result of multiple different variables. If its a CRT monitor, it could be magnetic interference that is causing it. On an LCD screen, it could be your video signal. Check the cables and make sure they are plugged in tight. Check to make sure there are no power lines or magnets around the monitor as well. Turn off any lighting in the area and see if that affects the monitor. Also you can test the monitor on a different computer to see if you get similar issues. If so, then you may need to replace the monitor or it's cable.

How do I hook my tv up to my acer netbook? I dont have a tv port but do have a port for a second moniter and have the cord to hook it up but it will not work...

If the TV doesn't have a VGA input, you have two options. If the TV has component video inputs (3 RCA jacks color-coded red, green and blue, not just a single video jack coded yellow), you can use a simple adapter cable. Here is an example.

If your TV only has a single yellow video input jack (called composite video) you can't use the simple cable. But you can get a VGA to video converter. This device takes the VGA signals and converts them to the form the TV can use.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using Fixya!

No signal on computer moniter

1. Check your cable
2. check your cable pins make sure there not bent.
3. Check your video card make sure its putting out the correct resolution for the monitor.

No signal is just what it is. You may have a bad cable, bent pin or video card is not operational.

Things you can try.

Hook it up to a diffrent computer
Check the pins on the cable.

Worse case would be the little board inside where the connector is could be bad.

Thanks I hope this helps

Every few minutes brings up box 'No Signal'. Sometimes when powering on ACER logo thing takes a few minutes to disappear.

I have a Acer moniter too. Seems like you have a loose VGA cable or not enough power going into the video card
