I have followed the directions in the manual and made sure the battery is charged. I have tried all three channels on the back. I get the appropriate "beeps" that tell me what channel I am on etc. but I do not get sound from the TV. I suspect I might not be plugged into the correct RCA jacks. (Many to choose from on my TV.

I had the same problem when I plugged it into a new HDTV. The problem was that the sound on the TV was set too low. The transmitter has a feature that automatically turns off when the signal is off or too low. Try turning up the TV volume to a high/higher level and it should solve your problem. Using the headphone jack with the white input allows you to use the headphones while bypassing the TV speakers.

Try the Audio 1 rear. With the headphones plugged in on some T.V.s the headphone jack unfortunately disconnects the audio from the other outputs. Try looking in the documentation to see if you can change this in the T.V.s menu as some allow you to use both for hearing impaired people. Hope this helps.,
SOURCE: headsets receive no sound
if you have the headphones plugged directly into the audio out, then thats the problem. the audio only supplies a low volume, pre-amplifier output and this needs to be put through an amp of somekind to get a decent volume. Look for a headphone socket on the tv, usually near the s-video plug and coloured green.

It's been a while since you posted this, Were you able to get the problem solved? If you are in the NY metro area, I have an extra T6-9 and I could test to verify if the proble is with the headset or the Freesound unit.
