My Kenmore Elite Frontloading HE3 is flashing a Sud, what do I do

the problem is the oil seal from the shaft to the tub,need to change it!

either way too much soap or the wrong type,run a couple of washes,without clothes to purge excess soap and see if this clears up the sud code

HI. this code represents a Long Drain issue.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump

This model is OLD , time to get a new one

if it fills with water or has filled and wont go any further then suspect the door switch< latch assembly has switch> if it doesn't fill then possibly water valve not working,if neither of these seem accurate then please give more info

PS An alternative method is to work through the door with the front panel in place, but this limits access. To make things easier, it is strongly recommended that you remove the front panel.

probably fh ..be sure drain hose is at least 30 insches from floor and fits loosely in standpipe to prevent siphoning also ckd all fill hoses for obstructions in inlet valve ends most likely problem is flowmeter remove top round object left side with 2 small hoses try tapping it this may at least let you know for sure it is problem even it doesn't flowmeter is most likely the problem

I had the same issue with a brand new wash. The issue I found was the installers installed the drain line too low. The drain line needs to be a minimum of 39" above the floor. Hope this helps -- Kent

Probably something caught in pump. Remove lower panel if this one has it and you will see the pump. Loosen the round cover in middle to access clean-out.
