My washer starts fine but stops after every cycle (ex: it will wash and then stops without draining or rinsing etc.,), won't drain and won't proceed to the next cycle. I have to manually start each cycle and draining between.
The timer motor has failed and needs to be replaced. Here is a link to the part.
I really appreciate you responding. Is there anyway it could be the switch on the lid?
No, if it was the switch it would not work when you advanced the timer.
Thank you so much for the response and link!
You bet! Let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you so much!

Hi,
If your washer won't spin, check these:
It doesn't pump or spin If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:
It pumps, but doesn't spin If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these:
It spins only with the lid closed For safety, washing machines are made so that they spin only with the lid closed. The lid switch prevents the spinning action when the lid is up.

SOURCE: My washer stops before the rinse cycle because it
I'd love to say yes! The machine is stopping because it will not drain. This is what the nd code means. Therefore, it will not rinse (add more water) or spin because the water level is already too high and to try to "spin it out" would put too much pressure on the machine with that much water in it. Drain out the water by putting the drain hose below the level of the washer (this takes forever) and call your repair man back!
