water leak from cold hose nothing to do with other problem. tighten hose connection and fit a new hose washer overfilling probably because air chamber blocked. remove lid. you will see a pressurestat somewhere at the top - usually round with anything from 3 to 7 wires and a small tube underneath. follow hose down and it connects to the air chamber. make sure this is free of gung and check hose for splits and has no blockage. to check the pressure stat itself, attach your own hose to the stat and while machine in fill mode, blow down this hose and you should hear a click and water intake will stop

you need to access your drain pump and check it for an obstruction but when you pull the hose off keep in mind it might have a lot of water in it i usually use a shop vac and pull all the water out through the drain hose before removing the hose or opening the pump sorry i cant be more specific but ive never cleaned the pump on a hoover

SOURCE: Hoover Vision 1600 drum not spinning?

I have similar problem with same model unit, found brushes on motor worn to point copper contact is hitting and scoreing commutator. Easy checked, ensure power completely disconnected, lie machine on side and gently rotate drum looking in side the motor. The commutator is what looks like a circular block of copper segments which will rotate with the drum and should be evenly worn and coated with carbon from the brushes. If you see a clean copper area, usually in the center, then the brushes are worn down below workable levels. Suggest replacing should resolve problem.

Double check the waste pump on the inbound side, which could be the cause of a wrong feedback to the pressure sensor switch. The filter can be clean, but the collector from the basket to the pump can be obstructed.

Hoover vhd sensor dry 59 minute programme not working

"Rapid W&D 59 Min.
When you only have a few items to wash and dry in a hurry, this 59 minute cycle is the ideal time saver! Suitable for a light 1,5 kg load size (e.g. 4 shirts) or slightly dirty fabrics, this cycle will wash, rinse, spin and dry your garments in under an hour.
We recommend that you reduce the detergent dosage when using this programme to avoid wastage".
If the other cycles work without issue, it in not faulty.
Check the wash weight.

That could be two things. Belts scream when they slip and are worn out. An bearings scream when they are dry or worn.

Your machine seems a bit obscure, as Google doesn't seem to know that model?
