I own a Samsung HL-P5063WX/XAA (for a few years now) & have finally decided to make the most of my HD-ready DLP by experimenting with Blu-Ray, DVD Upconvertor, etc. I purchased a Samsung Blu-Ray with HDMI cable 2 days ago (from Best Buy)- it worked beautifully for 15 minutes, then I turned it off. I turned it on again an hour later, but suddenly "No Connection" is available. Have tried all troubleshooting tips (relating to the Blu-Ray, assuming that was the problem) and spoke to tech (who had me repeat same steps), but to no avail. I decided that a day & a half was enough time wasted, so I returned the player & HDMI cord to BB, decided to exchange it for a MUCH LESS expensive Toshiba DVD Up-convertor (along with a new HDMI cord)... still experiencing the exact same problem. No Connection. Have used canned air to clean the once-used HDMI port (thinking dust could be the issue), but no improvement.
For grins, I hooked the Toshiba up to a new, small Samsung LCD TV in my office (via HDMI) & it works beautifully. Any suggestions how to address so that I can use it with my big Samsung DLP-TV?? Any help would be VERY APPRECIATED (I'm totally frustrated!!)
