That is imposible buddy.Before you get out of the car turn it down.Then you should not get a blast when. you hit the power button to turn it on.

Can you please specifiy which Phase Linear model you are interested in? The outputs vary from model to model. Also, is there a specific problem that you are having? Any details you can provide will help us to post more details.

I am not aware of the service manuals being available on line at the moment, but will research this a bit more.

you might have blown your speakers. Thats what it sounds like, if it got loud with a lot of low-end then it got all staticy and distorted, you fried teh speakers.

Put a RCA (phono cable) splitter at the pre-out /main in.
That way you can go to both amps with the same signal
