Question about Miele W310 Front Load Washer
I have a Miele Novatronic 310 washing machine. It does not power up. I have checked the fuse and taken the top off the machine all seems to be in good order. I have emptied the unit of any excess water and cleaned the filter. my wife reported a dull clunk sound when she went to turn it on. The drum turns as it should. It seems if a trip has gone inside as the door does not power open and there are no LED lights at all. Any ideas. Kind regards Barrie Fox

SOURCE: Leak from Novatronic W310
Bit the bullet and stripped out the covers from the unit so as to observe where the leak was coming from. Ran m/c on a basic quick wash (be careful, exposed live electrical terminals!!!) and noticed that water came from the detergent drawer for a second or two.
Stripped out detergent drawer housing and found that the large discharge pipe underneath was very blocked with black/white residue. Presume that this had been dislodged from the walls of the pipework during the house move.Removed residue and reassembled unit & ran, OK.
Saved myself £100 call out. Give Miele their due though, the documentation suggests that if you habitually wash at a low temperature, which we do, you should occasionally run a 95degree wash. My wife was very surprised when I asked her if she did this.

There will be a small qty of water left after the wash. However if the compartment is full then the syphon tube is probably blocked.
Lift the flap of conditioner compartment, you will see a round 'post' in the middle to the rear of it. Pull this gently off. Give it a thorough clean and also take whole soap draw to sink and rinse. Where you removed the 'post' flush through with hot water. Replace the post (will click into place).
You should now be good to go.

SOURCE: washing machine not spinning
I had a similar problem and about a week later it didn't wash at all.
Turned out the water inlet valve (one of the three) was faulty. The rubber seal/seat had a small hole and wouldn't open to allow water into the machine.
I wasn't prepared to pay the $213 for a new one so I went to our local appliance spares place and found one that was similar and used the rubber seal/seat from that to replace it. It was an electrolux single inlet valve part #360313 (from memory). Cost me $37. Could've got it for $22 delivered off ebay but I needed it asap.
