you can remove your simcard, clean it ,and insert it back where it was , then you can restart your phone, it worked for me!

its because the mobile cannot read the Sim card properly i had the same problem with 3 of my old mobiles this will cause havoc to the use of mobile as it will not read even at the most important times sometimes if you keep on taking the sim out you wear out the little scanner thing inside and make the phone useless cheers Shawty

first remove the sim card and then switch on the phone... then choose antenna on... after a few seconds you will see emergancy only on your screen ... turn off your mobile and insert the sim and switch it on again ... this solved my problem ... but this is not working on my cell now.. does anybody have a solution?

its the contact of the simcard to the leads. try putting a thin piece of paper over the sim so that there would be pressure on the sim. as always, think of the contact.
