Blanked out blackberry

Hi and Happy New Year!

I was using my phone earlier today and then I rested it down for a while and when I went back to use it I realized that it blanked out; do you have any idea why the blackberry pearl blanked out?

Tonya from Barbados!

Blanked out as will not turn on? Try pressing the green phone **** for aabout 10 seconds shoud either turn phone off or on. ALso call phone from different number to see if it rings. If these steps do not work try the following:

Remove back of phone, Take out battery. completely remove Sim card (possibly large white card in phone, reseat the sim card then replace battery. If you have no sim card just try to remove the battery for a few seconds then replace.

Let me know if it works and vote for me if it does.

Screen stopped working today. phone rings but I can't see anything on the screen Can I fix it?

Cell phones are VERY hard to service. The problem with your phone is most likely related to the back light. Time for a new phone.

Hello,

If your blackberry has gone blank. I think you should try contacting a nearby phone repair and explain it to them. It shouldn't cost you much for a screen change.

Best regards

Emails for BlackBerry go through their own server network to be sent to your phone. It is possible BlackBerry had an outage. If that's the case, they should resume soon.

Also try to restart the phone and check your settings to see if they are still accurate.

My trackball on my blackbebrry will not go down, how do I fix it?

If your trackball to your blackberry will not go down it could be that is needs a hard rest to do this follow these instructions
step one: Take off the back of the phone
step two:remove battery from the phone
step three: wait about 15 seconds.
Step four: put battery back in and put back on and power the phone on.

If this does not solve the issue I would call the service provider and check if my year waranty is up. All cell phones have a year warranty and it could just be a blackberry malfunction.

Good evening!
I went through multiple 8600's (3 blue, 2 green, and 1 silver) due to the defectiveness of the phone. I now use a blackberry.
I spoke with an Alltel sales rep. on this issue when I had problems. The 8600 series was removed from the market due to defectiveness and many other problems.
Currently some cell phone providers will take back the phone and give you a credit towards a new phone. I would take the phone in to your local store and ask them, if they don't, be sure to explain all the problems and say your not happy with the service.
Hope this helps!
