On my Toshiba Portege I access the overlay number pad by pressing Fn- F11. Try it. To get of that mode, press the Fn-F11 combination again. The led on the F11 key should turn off.
hi no this does not have a battery, this sounds more like a software problem, or your touch screen may be faulty or both, try installing the drivers for the screen again if not this will be a Toshiba techs job..hope this helps
try to boot to windows xp or dos command, for winXP go to recovery console-select your windows-type the admin password then if C:\WINDOWS come up type chkdsk /r if that doesnt help, repair your operating system or backup your files and reinstall your operating system.
Does your tablet have an LED to indicate it's being powered? If so, it must be the pen.
Does your pen have an internal battery? If so, it's time to replace it.
