SOURCE: MC 11000 janome stops reading presser foot "p"

This is a relatively easy adjustment as I just did one last week but I'm not sure I can explain it. Anyway, open up the lamp cover and look at the top of the presser bar. There is a sensor that is easily adjusted. It has a small phillips screw that you need to loosen. Then move the black 'L' shaped piece either up or down a little (I can't remember which way) and re-tighten the screw, you may need to experiment. The 'L' shaped piece is a flag that goes between two sensors when the foot is raised and can be rotated left and right about 10 degrees. I hope that helps.

On my Pfaff quilt expression 4.2 the knee lift is not working

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the knee lift on your Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.2 sewing machine. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the knee lift lever: Make sure that the knee lift lever is not obstructed and that it is properly positioned.
  2. Check the linkage: The knee lift mechanism is connected to the sewing machine via a series of linkages. Make sure that all linkages are connected and not broken or bent.
  3. Lubricate the knee lift mechanism: If the knee lift mechanism is stiff or difficult to move, try lubricating it with a sewing machine oil.
  4. Check for loose screws: Check for any loose screws or bolts that may be causing the knee lift mechanism to malfunction.
  5. Check the foot control: Make sure that the foot control is functioning properly and that it is securely connected to the sewing machine.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be necessary to take your sewing machine to a professional for repair.

I need instuctions on using different presser foot for ja nome schoolmate

Please add a comment with the specific model of Janome Schoolmate sewing machine.

Fpr the Janome Schoolmate S-3015, make sure that the needle is fully up and raise the presser foot. Then press the red button on the back of the presser foot holder to have that foot drop off. Set the pressure dial to 3 before attaching the new presser foot. For snap-on feet, align the pin of the presser foot (the horizontal bar in the middle of the foot) under the presser foot holder. Lower the presser foot holder (using the presser foot height lever) until it locks onto the foot.

For the zipper foot, you need to fit the rear pin on the foot into groove at the back of the presser foot holder. Then lower the presser foot holder onto the zipper foot.

These are shown on page 11 (14 of the PDF) of the manual. You can download the manual here: http://janome.com/en/machines/sewing/schoolmate-s-3015/ . The direct link to the manual is http://janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/school-models/schoolmate3015.pdf .

For the S-7330, you need to again raise the needle and the presser foot. Press the lever towards (it moves slightly up, not down) the presser foot holder. Then line up the pin on the foot under the presser foot holder and lower the presser foot holder onto the foot so that it locks. This is also in that sewing machine's manual, here: http://janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/school-models/inst-book-s-7330esf.pdf . See page 14 (18 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

How do I fix the following problem with my Janome MC9000 sewing machine?

Unfortunately you are probably not going to be able to fix this.
It needs a sensor adjusted (probably), or a component replaced.

Pressure foot will not lift up

do u have an automatic machine meaning ft is lifted by pressing ft pedal a certain dirtection. otherwise tilt machine and push knee lever. there should be a flat oval piece on top of lever rod. does it rise straight? it needs to contact the push rod on the machine presser ft. see if the line up by lowering the machine slightly. if not bend rod to aglin. your knee lift may need adjustment too and maybe the presser ft screw located by removing the rubber plug on side of machine or take off the plate by removing 3 screws. careful with gasket cause machine will leak if u tear gasket.. presser ft screw is easy to find. lower ft and tighten. make sure that the needle is centered in foot slot when adjusting presser ft screw. otherwise thread will break when needle hits side of presser ft. a very common problem that many do know about and someday i will charge the site. 35 years with juki and still going strong.

Pressure foot won't stay up

The presser foot lift lever on many newer janome sewing machines will wear out with use. It can easily be replaced by a sewing machine repair shop or Janome dealer. Or you can look online for a "presser foot lifter" or "presser foot lift lever" making sure to find the correct one for your machine.

Presser foot lever won't lower the foot

This may be a lubrication problem on the presser foot shaft. Try freeing up with penetrating oil or Triflow. After letting set for an hour lower the presser foot and pull down on the ankle. If that does not work you need to open the machine and loosen the clamp screw on the presser foot shaft. Then try to twist the shaft to loosen it up.
