Starting with your headset turned off, press and hold the call button for some 6 to 10 seconds, until the indicator light is steadily lit (it will flash some times as if it was being turned on, but don't release the button at that phase). With the light steadily lit It is in pairing mode. Now make your phone's bluetooth application search for new devices. After a while, the H500 should appear on-screen. Select it and make it connect. If a pairing code (or PIN, or passkey) is requested, enter '0000' (four zeros). If the pairing process is successful, the indicator light will flash rapidly, and then, it will enter the stand-by mode. Otherwise, turn your headset off, and go through the whole process again. By the way, if your headset's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location. Hope you are able to sort your problems out. Regards, Carlos
Here are the steps to connect your Motorola H500 to your Nokia 2680 phone:
1. Switch off your H500 by pressing the main button for few seconds.
2. Put the H500 in discovery mode. To do this, press and HOLD the main button till it glows a solid blue light (no blinking).
3. Open bluetooth in nokia phone. Go to Menu, settings, Connectivity, Bluetooth.
4. Select "Add a new Device" and search for H500
5. Click on the name select pair.
6. it will ask for pairing code. Enter "0000"
You are done. Revert in case you have any problem
To pair you must first switch it off (press and hold for 5 sec) then
press the button for another 5 seconds till the button backlight stays
on continuously. The pairing code is 0000.
Pairing the headset with a phone is a simple task: just hold the multi-function button for an extra few seconds when turning the H500 on, and the blue LED call indicator will turn on. This means that the headset is ready to be paired, and can be discovered with any phone, PDA, or computer that supports the headset or hands free Bluetooth profiles. As is the case for most headsets on the market, the PIN code for the H500 is "0000".
Turn the bluetooth off and go into the phone to search for devices, then turn the bluetooth on holding onto the on button until the blinking blue light turns solid for a couple of second then let go. The device should come up on the blackberry as Motorola H500, pair it and enter passcode 0000. Goodluck
Try this link. It solved my issue www.scribd.com/doc/280088/motorola-h500-bluetooth-earpiece-manual. Basically what you need to do is power the earpiece off. Make sure that your IPhone is not currently attempting to discover bluetooth devices (i.e. Bluetooth is OFF). Hold the On button on your earpiece (it has the symbol of a phone on it) for 6-10 seconds. The light on the earpiece remains lit. Now your earpiece is in discovery mode. On your IPhone, go to Settings, General, Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth ON. Now your phone and your earpiece are both in discovery mode. When you see "Headset" listed, select it and enter the password "0000". Your IPhone is now paired with your H500 headset.
Hold down the connect button on headset
until steady purple light comes on, then open the boom.
Search for Bluetooth devices on the phone. When asked for a pin, use "0000".
Now the H700 will show up in the Bluetooth device list, but it will not
connect.
Put the headset in pairing mode again, this time go to the h700
listed on the phone and select connect. Now the devices will work
as normal. When you open the boom on the h700, it will connect to the phone.
Usually they're 0000. You may have to hold down the answer button as you turn it on, or hold it down for 10 seconds to put the device into pairing mode. Check the manufacturer's manual for more specifics.
