A power surge due to lightening may have damaged the switching power supply. You will need to change the power supply module inside the TV. Normally, such power supplies have surge protection built-in, however, some surges are too powerful and could damage capacitors and crystals in the power supply module.
1) Check THE receptacle in the surge protector the computer is plugged into.
I have found more than once that One bad receptacle in the surge protector is bad.
"Hmmm, surge protector power on light is lit." "Monitor has power, amp for the speakers has power, and the router has power." All plugged in to the same surge protector.
Tried a table lamp into the receptacle the computer was plugged into, Nothing. Replace surge protector.
2) Bypass the Soft Power On of the Power Supply, and see if the problem is the Power On switch, or the Power Supply.
If you bypass the Soft Power On of the Power Supply, and the Power Supply comes on, the problem is a bad Power On switch.
If you bypass the Soft Power On of the Power Supply, and the Power
Supply does Not come on, the problem is the Power Supply.
If you wish to know how to perform this simple test, just state so in a Comment. (Believe upper right of your page)
If it has fan power than all is well. The newer models can handle a zip verywell. What cannot handle it is RAM.
Most new power supplies have their own switch and it often times has a power off..

The processor is overheating causing auto shut down to prevent damage(further). Get the heat sink & if required apply fresh heat conducting paste between the processor & heatsink(if the fan is still working). Also the power supply inside the PC might not be delivering the correct voltage(3 different voltages), which will require relacement..................sodeep
The noise you hear is the degausing coil and n Sony TV's they are an indicator that the main fuse is good. Your power supply has no other fuses to replace. they are not easy to troubleshoot.
