Firstly to open the paper mount and then put ur hand to see if there is a paper jam there if not, try to open the color cartridge mount and remove the colour cartridge and install it back again if not, try to turn it off and on again.

Original upside down? Empty ink cartridge?

Check your System scanner application is running. Open the End Task manager select the tab process and see there may be scanner.exe is there select that one and click end task.

Can you try to make a copy using the copy button on the printer operator panel? If you're not able to make a copy, it could be hardware problem in the scanner/copier system. You can try to unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. Then try to scan or copy again using the buttons on the printer.
