My problem is the Audio is not working at all. The LCD TV was working fine until 2 days ago when I turned the LCD TV on and there was no audio. I checked the User manual and did everything the manual suggested and it's still not working. After the first evening I turned the TV on and it did not work. The next morning I turned the TV on and the Audio was working. Then that evening I turned the TV on and it was not working again. Please any help will be appreciated. Thank you, Miggybee

Have you tried unplugging overnight? Sometimes mine gets screen garbage and that clears it up. Of course, now it says "Auto Scan Required" every time I power up. Maybe I should've grabbed that after Xmas 32" at Fry's for $400.

If the power light stays on green, I would look tward a backlight issue. If you can see any image at all then the backlight controler or the backlights are bad. If there is nothing then if could be a power supply overheating or an inverter failure. More than likely as the unit heats up a failed solder connection is loosing contact causing the screen to go black.

I have had this problem now for about six months with my Niko OPT-3211W. After replacing the Inverter card, VIT70002.00 as suggested nothing changed. I then read that it may be a couple of capacitors in the power supply, but I do not have the skills needed to replace them, nor do I want to pay to fix it. The solution is simple... turn on the TV and wait two to five minutes, then turn off the main power. I suggest using a power strip. Then turn the power back on in two to five seconds. The TV will come back on and it works great from then on. I thought that it was a freak thing, but it keeps working.

No quick fixes. A component such as a capacitor is heating up and failing. Sometimes a cracked solder connection will work fine until it heats up and no longer sustains the connection.
When the screen goes off, shine a very bright flashlight at the screen to see if the image is still there. In many cases, the problem is the screen backlight, which consists of several CCFL tubes (fluorescent lamps) and a circuit board called the inverter (similar to a lamp ballast).
If the image is there, but the backlight is off, then you just may need a new inverter board.

WE had a power outage and our big screen was on, when the power came back on, the picture works fine the audio does not. We've tried everything we can to re-set the menu, un plugged it for 10 minutes, nothing works, audio is stillnot working.
Yesterday the TV was working fine and within hours of turning it off and then turning it back on, the audio went out. Turned on again today and still not working. Tried to unplug the system as well as follow all instructions in the manual and still not working.
