WHEN I PLUG THE MIXER IN TO THE AMP I GRT A LOUND HUM ON THE RED SIDE OF THE RCA JACK.
What is plugged into your Numark mixer when this happens? Try disconnecting ALL audio inputs to your mixer, turn mixer volumes to zero and see if the hum is still present. Adjust the volume and check if the hum you mentioned returns. If it is still heard, try new cables between the mixer and amp...if not then start reconnecting inputs until the hum is heard again. It's a process of elimination but not that difficult to find the source of your problem.

The preamp section has a problem. It could be anything in the preamp but is OFTEN the input jack itself. They take a lot of abuse.
Also the insert jack contacts that forward the preamp to the power amp if no external FX are used can go bad.
Additional things are circuit board cracks caused by rough handling and also controls that have had the knobs mashed in which can destroy the potentiometers they are connected to.
