You can connect to a free WiFi site at such places as Starbucks, MacDonalds, at some shopping centers and at the airport terminals.
Have the tablet's WiFi turned on and it will automatically detect any wireless WiFi site within range of your tablet. Some site have encryption enabled and you won't be able to connect to these wireless sites.

SOURCE: how can i trace my stolen samsung google nexus 4g

There is no way for you to trace your phone unless you have before it was stolen set up some tracking service for it or software on the phone.

Too bad, you have to talk to the police and report the phone stolen, the IMEI can get blacklisted as stolen and the phone can't be used to receive or make calls in your country.

My Tablet NEXUS 7 will not connect to the internet. All other devices in my home are operating satisfactorily. Could you please suggest a cause or hopefully a cure?

If your Tablet Nexus 7 did not connect to the internet try to refresh the connections. Open the menu and hit the settings button. Click the Wifi Off and open the page. Scan for the internet provider you are currently connected then click forget. Back to the main menu. After 10 to 20 seconds click the wifi icon and reconnect.

My laptop is saying that the Nexus is unknown and will not connect.

I don't have a nexus but have had a similar problem with a cellphone. If you go into the settings you should look for a link to change the connection type, i.e. some products will connect as a storage media device allowing you to browse files or as a modem to allow you to share the 3G connection or in propriety mode where it will connect as a Nexus to the bundled software.
With the Blackberry Playbook you have to install specific drivers stored on the Playbook before it is even recognised correctly. Please check if you have installed the drivers correctly. They might come on a CD boxed with the Nexus or if you connect the Nexus you'll find a new drive and it will contain an exe to install drivers so the PC can recognise it. The later was the case with the Playbook. Alternatively try downloading new drivers from the support page for your particular Nexus model. Web downloads are almost always the latest version of drivers and the one shipped with your Nexus may not be properly compatible or flawed. Hope this helps.

Yes, after you make the connection, start your browser. The login screen comes up first after that.

I have a Samsung Google Nexus Tablet. I have no internet at home how do i connect to the Internet. Can i use a dongle?

Many Internet / Phone carriers provide service via USB. You may need a micro USB adapter. Test at a local vendor before purchase.

They also hotspot devices. A small mobile wireless internet router. This may be the best solution.

You can even configure a cell phone to provide internet.
