Lost the darn instructions. How do I remove the bit? I'm holding the chuck and have it in reverse. No go
Thanks,
Anna
Hold the chuck by its sleeve, put the drill in reverse (make sure it's set at high torque if you used it in a drill/driver) and go full speed. That should release the bit.
What worked for me, put the chuck in an impact driver and run in reverse, once I even had to clamp the stuck bit in a vise first. If that hadn't of work I was ready to throw this junk in the garbage but it released the bit no problem. Hope this helps because man I was frustrated
This thing is garbage! Another over priced worthless heap of cow dung from dewalt. Paid close to $30 for this impact keyless chuck attachment and now have a $30 bit stuck in it. Have called every number dewalt has and nobody has any answers besides that's not covered by the warranty. This seems to be a common problem and dewalt doesn't seem to want to address it yet they still keep selling this garbage. Please dewalt, pull this off the shelves until you figure out what is causing this issue or change that bright yellow to a deep brown color that resembles the worthless S!!T you're selling.
I wish I saw this before buying this DW0521. I now have my Dewalt quick change DW2735 bit stuck in the darn thing and can't remove it. The bit is worth more than the chuck and Dewalt said that is not covered by their warranty.
QUICK CONNECT 3/8" IMPACT CHUCK Is a defective product. There is no fix to this issue and DeWalt has yet to address this tool.
Can you provide the model number. Or if you want go to Dewaltservicenet.com with the model number and you can download the instruction manual. Let me know.

This is the first time I've used my new DW0521 Quick Connect Impact Driver Conversion Chuck. I inserted a bit, tightened it up and used it. When I went to remove the bit the chuck just spins and does not release the bit. Am I missing something or is their a trick to it. My bit is still in the check. Maybe it is defective.
Anyone have one of these?
