With an error code the only way to find and to repair this is,
First unplug the washer and wait a few minutes then restart it like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
If it corrects the problem GREAT!!! WE WIN!
If not only a trained laundry tech can make the electronic diagnoses.
Like we used to be able to fix my own cars, but not today they need diagnostic equipment!

Check if the inner drum is spinning without noise when you turn it on manually.If the same noise is heard then it can be drum center bearing,that is out of alignment/.The other possibility can be the timer ,it must be getting short causing the noise. Check out.keep updated. Thanks.

Sorry but the only references to 'E14' I have on my general Hoover list is 'heater/NTC'
'NTC' stands for 'Negative Temperature Co-efficient' or water temperature thermostat to you and me!
One way of hopefully getting around the problem is first to ensure the washer is empty then pour the contents of a boiling kettle into it. That can sometimes kick the device into correct action.
Another thing to carry out is heater clean- in case it is caked in calcium.
I suggest you run the contents of a couple of sachets of proprietary limescale removing powder/fluid through it. The most efficient way is to put the contents in an empty washer and pour a kettle of hot water into the drum then leave overnight. In the morning run just a spin; the water mix will then go through the drain filter and drain motor impeller blades, doing absolutely NO harm whatsoever, in fact some good! You could also consider repeating the action.
These are worth a try anyway before having to call in the repair man ;-0)
