Using Remote to program DVD Player

I just bougt a universal remote ((AVEX, also from Wal*Mart) hoping to program my ilo TV so I could play DVD movies. I have Comcast Cable. The code 110 (Comcast) works to turn the cable box off/on, adjust volume, and to change channels. The code 096 (Emerson) works to turn the TV off/on, adjust volume, etc. The problem is I can't get it to access the video function so I can play my movies. When I press the two volume buttons on the TV at the same time, I get a menu but there is no option for video. There is setup (no video option), clock set, audio and language - no video. The ilo model is DTV2784. Any suggestions on how to program the TV so I can play the DVD's?

I Believe You Can Go To Channel 2 And Right Below Those Channels Are The 3 Video Channels Turn On Your Dvd Player And Go Through Them. If That Doesn't Work Try Looking At The Buttons On Your Tv For A Tv Video. Make Sure You Dont Have A Tv Video Button On Your Remote If You Do Then Just Click It Till You Find The Appropriate Video Channel.

I cannot play a dvd movie or record a tv program in ilo dvdr05 recorder, what might be the problem?

1: Get a movie and some popcorn.
2: Make sure the DVD player and the tv are turned on.
3: Push the button on either the front of the player or on the remote to open the player door to load the disc.
4. Put the disc on the tray that pops out
5. Push the same button pushed previously to close the door
6. Enjoy the movie

Need to program my universal remote and cant find a code for my ilo tv. I know it's a wal-mart product. I just don't know what other brand i could use to program it to.

this is what the remote looks like and i got it at walmart i used the iLo codes that came in the package. it works perfectly.

P.S. i have an iLo 26HD

this id the model number of the tv it should be on the back of the tv(where the arrow is pointing)

Need remote codes

Get the 8.00 rca universal remote at wal mart (model rcr312w) follow the auto scan instructions and it will work. I just had this same problem, bought 4 universal remotes and this one worked!

Buy an rca universal at wal mart (model rcr312w) $8.00 fix. Just follow the Auto Scan instructions, it worked for my 26" ilo today.

I have lost my program guide and need help in programming my remote to my tv (Sharp) and DVD player (Magnavox)

Thia may not work for you, if you bought the remote at Wal-Mart take it back and get a replacement for it, you donot need a reciept to exchang it

Sony RMV210 Remote Codes for iLo LCT27HA36

Salutations Schaf1,

This happens with some manufactures. Thankfully some codes will work with other TV's. This is the "Code Search" starts. Your remote has a way to try other codes to see if they will work.

If all else fails it appears Sony has a support hot-line available at 1-800-822-2217 that maybe able to help you find the code. Just make sure you cover all the troubleshooting steps you've already done.

There is no code for the television you may be able to use a UN11000 - call 800-726-4405 - Ilo is made by ESI - who also makes the Akai, Viore, and Scott brand tv's.

Programming universal remote to ilo PDP4210EA1 Plasma TV

Found a remote that works... At walmart of all places..

The brand is AVEX... Available at walmart in a generic purple box that just says "UNIVERSAL remote control" on the front, and AVEX on the back. This is the 6 components remote. They sold a 8-9 one in darker box, and i assume it will also work too. 3 Digit program code was "472"

The product SKU from mine is 6 56787 10086 2

www.universalremote.com listed on the box.

URC-R6 appears to be the model number of the remote.

Hope this helps. I tried 7 name brand remotes before deciding to give what looked to be a waste of time remote a try... Figured i would help some people out who seem to have the same problem...
