SOURCE: Washing machine will not complete spin cycle

OK, what you are experiencing is a timer mechanism fault. the timer motor is malfunctioning. anytime you have to manually advance the timer knob, this will signal a fault within the control mech. this is easily fixed by, replacing the timer control module. i will place a link to the actual part needed to fix this issue. you can also purchase this timer on line at this site if you wish.

SOURCE: hoover 500m spin cycle

That sounds like a broken motor couplin, slack drive belt, or worn bearings.
A repair person can determine which is it. I cant tell from here. However,
If you do this test you can eliminate one of the above. Lift the lid of the washer, hold the rim of the inner-tub and spin it clockwise and then anti-clockwise. If it spins both ways, you have a bad bearing which needs replacing.

Zanussi aquacycle 1200.After a wash has finished and i empty washing, reload again,it wont start and none of the lights come on.eventially it works ok again after a good 5-10 mins.

you have probably done no harm. try selecting spin and drain again to ensure the water has drained properly.
Machine starting on its own after 5 minutes or so is usually the door lock failing, again not caused by your actions.

Machine worked fine to start with . Then stopped. Will fill water but drum wont turn on a wash cycle. And wont spin on spin cycle. But Belt seems fine. Can you help.

The pump needs to be replaced. The pump controls the agitation for the wash cycle, also controls the tub for draining & spinning after the wash & rinse cycle. The belt has nothing to do with it. Pump is very simple to remove & replace, and not too expensive, it's plastic.

Hi i have a hoover washing machine hnf 6127 it functions perfectly but wont spin the drum goes round on the wash cycles but will not pick up speed on the spin i have checked the filter is not blocked

If it is not picking up speed on the spin cycle then it is the motor or the belt. check the belt first for proper tension and make sure the motor has the proper output. I think something is slipping and not transferring torque to the tub.

Bosch wfl2000 machine works on every cycle apart from spin, washes drains etc but wont spin. Cheched brushes and removed and had motor tested all ok, belt fine, any ideas- Controller!!

are you sure its heating the water as it will not complete the wash cycle if the heater has failed, hence not getting to the spin cycle. try testing heater or see if water is warm coming out or glass warms up

Started normal cycle then gets to drain and spin clothes are still wet

Hello there:
Spin cycle If the washer doesn't reach its proper spin speed, the clothes may be too wet at the end of a cycle. Check to be sure the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again. If the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn or loose belt, a worn clutch , or a worn motor pulley or tub bearing. Replace the applicable component. Alternatively, there could be clothes caught between the inner and outer tubs. Read the "It spins but won't pump" section of the "It won't drain" section. Also, there could be other things that cause friction on the drive train. Seek the assistance of a qualified appliance repair technician. Siphoning If the water that pumps from the machine goes right back into the machine after the spin cycle, it may be because your washer is siphoning the water from a laundry tub with a slow drain, back into the washer. Try to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is there something stuck in the drain?) Also, be sure the drain hose doesn't reach more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub. If it does, cut off the excess. then retry ok

Machine will not spin or drain water.

I have a problem with my MW512AU. Sometimes it drains after wash cycle, but sometimes it sticks when it goes to spin, doesn't get up to speed, water comes on for about 10 seconds and shuts off, and it tries to spin again. If I hit the wash progress switch it goes directly to final spin and works ok. I then have to run a 2nd wash cycle to rinse the clothes. I also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn on the power point, which lasts about 3 seconds before stopping. It will come back on every 3-4 minutes for 30 seconds. This is with the machine power switch off. It powers on normally.

The water wont drain from my machine from the wash

What you need to do is check the pump is getting a feed to it
Select a spin cycle, and with a test meter, test for voltage across the pump terminals, if you are getting a feed, and the pump is working ok, then you obviously have a blockage beyond the pump.
If no voltage then could be a broken wire, or a faulty programmer/board.
ONLY CHECK FOR VOLTAGE IF YOU ARE COMPETENT TO DO SO, as it takes no prisoners.
Hope this helps.

No spin cycle or drain

Ok, check the following before you replace the timer. in most cases, the washer will not spin if there is a drainage issue. please check the following below and, if everything concerning the drain assembly checks out ok, then , replace the timer.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.
