Westinghouse Model LTV-32w3 HD goes green with the look of a negative image intermittant. Comcast tech checked it on and off the box. Used our DVD player and same results. Bought it at the Moffet Field Navy Exchange which has since closed. Any suggestions?

I am having this problem also with my westinghouse model LTV-32w3 HD.  In all other respects I like it, but the problem starts about 20 or 30 minutes in, then flickers intermittently sometimes going normal sometimes not.
I did notice that adjusting the contrast and brightness have an affect on it, reducing some of the effect but not resolving it.   It seems that its worst in the blacks and some places will look perfectly normal but the surrounding image is filled with green and jittery video noise. Perhaps were contrasts are higher?
Occassionally the picture will also 'Roll' swiftly with blue and black horizontal bands in 3 or 4 columns.    Sometimes if I leave it on anyway it will eventually come back.   Sometimes it comes back for hours, sometimes it starts going green again.

The "lvds" cable which is connected to the lcd controller board is taped to the backlight housing and is transmitting interference to the controller board. Remove the tape and pull the cable away from the backlight housing slightly. You will have to remove the mainboard to do this since it is underneath it. Do not touch the power supply or power supply connectors (dangerous high voltage).

I have a Westinghouse LTV 32w3 HD LCD TV (LTV32w3HD)and it does not come on. I know it is getting power as when i unplug from the wall i can hear a noise.

hi;
its sounds like a loose solder or high voltage leak inside your LTV
if you know how to open the back cover or technical experience to troubleshoot
you can check the power supply board and inverter board if it has a loose solder
you can visualize it in the back of the board.
also check the wires connected to inverter boards if it has a leak.
or shorts.

The television looks as if it is the negative of a photo; is this fixable?

It souds more likely to be the LCD controller, is it happening after about 30 minutes?
See sample here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LTV-32W3HD/
You can try running the TV with the back open and having a small fan blowing in the back.
Parts: http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=ltv-32w3hd&stock=all
There are more than one version of the LCD controller, depends on which LCD panel is used.

Problems with ltv-32w3 hd After TV is on for 15 to 30 minutes the picture looks fuzzy and looks like a picture negative but still has color

You need to replace the LCD controller board, there are two versions (V320B1-C, 35D003848) you need to open up the tv and remove the shield cover to get to the LCD controller board, this is a common problem with this model. Look here parts (make sure to get the part number of the LCD panel sticker to match wit the LCD controller): http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=LTV-32W3HD&stock=all

You cam see the one I fixed here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LTV-32W3HD/

Notes: be real careful when you remove the back cover, the side switch assembly is attached to the back panel, so do not pull it off too far, or you will damage the switch assembly!

The LCD controller is bad, after about on for 30 minutes, see sample here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LTV-32W3HD/

You need new LCD controller (there are more than one version, you need to match with the LCD panel): http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?q=ltv-32w3hd&stock=all

Freezes during auto programming

The atsc or qam tuner in your Westinghouse LTV-32W3 HDTV is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately you will need to purchase a new mainboard since it is integrated. Another option is to return to using an external tuner like your cable box.

Picture quality

I had the same problem before. I had my wireless router really close to the tv. I relocated the router, and the problem never came back.
