Canon sd600 Videos wont upload to my computer

Pictures upload fine, but the videos wont upload when I remove the sd card from the camera and insert it into the computer, also I cant play the videos from the card on the computer, but Iam able to watch the videos on the camera itself. Any ideas?

I have the powershot A620 and I am having the same problem. Pictures work just fine and a few of my videos [like 1 out of every 5] will upload onto my computer after a few tries.

The video file looks just fine when I go onto the file's properties on my computer through My Computer. it tells me how much room it takes up, and it plays just fine on the camera itself. But when I actually try to save it onto my hardrive it shows up as a 0kb file, which it is not, and doesn't actually save as anything. I've tried alternative ways of saving [clicking and dragging, copy and pasting, and saving directly into My Pictures] but none of this seems to work.

This is causing a great deal of hassle so if anyone has a solution to this problem or knows of a way to find one or knows the reason I'm having this problem or knows anything at all, PLEASE HELP!!!

They are probably avi files. Do you have windows media player installed? That should work.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

I am having a problem transfering pictures from my Kodak EasyShare C1013 camera to the computer.........any suggestions, it will transfer a few but not all the pictures. Thank You

The easiest and fastest way to transfer pictures/videos from your camera is by removing the SD card from your camera and insert it into a SD card reader. You can buy card readers at any computer stores at cheap prices. You insert the SD card into a card reader and then you insert the card reader into a free USB slot on your computer and then you can copy ALL your files then wherever you want.

Thanks for using Fixya!

Canon sd card IXUS 97015

The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo/video cataloging program.

Sd card won't upload video- 'unidentified image' is displayed

iPhoto is for still pictures. iMovie is for videos. Use a card reader to download your videos to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can import to iMovie or just play them using Quicktime.

My camera wont upload videos, but it works fine with pictures.

Goto any radio shack and get a external memory card reader this will allow you to get your pictures if the camera or cable is defective.

Memory card I?O error

Try using USB SD-card reader to access the files. If it fails, you need a new card.

Otherwise, try formatting the card, and test it by filling it up with test videos and test images.
