the screen says use stylus to tap center of target ...i do that and it goes to upper left corner i tap and it goes lower right corner and back and forth between the to corners?
OK..your touch screen was jammed or not working and you did reset via code *2767*3855# then the phone restarted with the calibration cross....you tapped the cross but nothing is happening.......what to do? first shutdown the phone remove the battery for 30 sec also remove the simcard put the battery again start the phone when the calibration screen pops up tap on the cross here you must feel the tapping is working by feeling a light vibration of the phone.....then tap on the lower bar of the screen which has color (light gray) different than the calibration screen the cross will move to another corner......repeat this for all four corners then you should see and OK on the bar to save and exit to the normal screen........done

No you cannot! There is a switch on the convergence pnl for complete convergence. You can make things 10 times worse if you don't know what your doing.
Your going to need to hook up a cross hatch generator to adjust the internal convergence alighnments. Anytime, a tube is replaced, there is alot of alighnment involved with the convergence, and it cannot be alighned from the customers convergence controls. I suggest first you get a service manual, and follow the alighnment to the letter for the convergence. If you do not have a cross hatch generator, then your going to need a test disc(DVD) that has a cross hatch on it. If you do not have access to those two things(cross hatch generator or the test disc) you will need to call out a tech to do this alighnment to the set. They (service tech) don't tell you when you get an estimate for a picture tube that there is some alighnment involved that reguires special test equipment. Thats why they charge what they do. I wish I had better news for you, but without proper test equipment, this is going to be a tough battle. Good Luck

First thing to do is go to http://www.servicemanuals.net and get the service manual, as if you dont adjust these things in the proper order, it will never alighn or it will take you hours on end, because most of the time, when you move one thing, it affects the other alighnment, so if you do it off the cuff your having to do one, go back touch up another and may need to redo the same alighnment a hunderd times!~! See my point? Now if one section is not responding to the ajustment, or all of a suddenly the adjustments went out, and you try to adjust them, STOP! The alighnments may drift a little over the sets lifetime, but never will they go out drastacly, unless the convergence IC's go bad. They are the black rectangle IC's that start with STK and are mounted onto stand up metal heat sinks. If your not a tech or know the safty issues with a TV set, please call out a trained service person to assist you with this repair.
Typical convergence IC falure. Need to replace both at once as if ones down now, a few months down the road another one will be down. This is not a consumer or end user replacable part. As its all soldered into place and your going to need to do a master convergence alighnment when they bare replaced.
