Unplug the computer from power. Press, and hold the Power On button in, for a count of 10 seconds. (Count; 1001, 1002, 1003, etc) Let go of the Power On button. Do this same procedure 2 more times. If the Power On LED light flashes briefly on the 3rd time, do the procedure once more. Plug the computer back into power. WAIT 1 minute, turn the computer on. Post what happens in a Comment.

This isn't a laptop. A desktop computer DOES use an external monitor.

Within the last few days the moniter "blue light" when it is turned on suddenly turns yellow and the screen goes dark. I move the mouse briskly and turn the moniter off and on again and...

You should check the "Power Options" when the computer "Sleeps" & "Hibernates". Go to the "Control Panel" if you Win 7 or below, if you have Win 10 just type "Power" on the "Search Box" on the bottom left of the screen and then click "Edit a Power Plan" and set when the Computer "Sleeps" and when it "Hibernates". Basically when you move your mouse you are waking up the Computer from "Sleeping" or "Hibernating". Goodluck.

Moniter goes into sleep mode after i turn it on. Have to turn off the monitor for 20 seconds and then it comes back on for about 20 seconds and goes back into sleep mode

This may be a problem with the monitor, such as a failing video board, or it may also be a problem with the video card in your computer. If you can try the monitor on another computer or try a different monitor on your computer, you will have the answer. At the price new 18" widescreens are selling for (sub 100.00 in Canada), I would have a hard time justifying spending too much time or money trying to fix this one.

Need control switch for time when moniter goes to sleep

The setting is controlled by your computer not the monitor. I'm assuming you are running Windows - open the Control Panel (from the Start button) and go to Power Options. You can find it in here. If you have problems, get back to me with the specific Operating System you are using and version or service pack level and I can give you more specific details.

Mikomi ak-808u keyboard

When you press your power button your system goes to sleep mode as per your system settings. To awake your system just press any key or 'Awake Key' (if its present on your keyboard), then your system will be back. No need to wait.

Thanks
