My camera was fine and then completely out of the blue it started taking pictures with vertical lines and all the colours just showed up as white. the images are blurry and so i changed the exposure etc but it stayed the same except on a -2 exposure when the colours were perfect except it still blurred and the lines were still present. I uploaded the pictures onto my mac and it didnt change a thing, it looked the same as it did on the camera. PLEASE help me as I'm meant to be taking a photography GCSE this year!

I called them today. They were great on the phone. They emailed me a
UPS shipping label and told me that there will be about a ten-day turn
around to fix it and send it back.

I had this problem too, I think it's the shutter problem, it doesn't close
when a picture is taken, therefore, causing the over exposed photo...I've sent it back to canon, still waiting for the reply...

Think that you might have accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This manually turns the LCD display on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. To turn the screen back on, try pressing the DISP button once with the camera turned on.
