Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

The backlight inverter board will look like this.

This might be you back light not fire-ing now this can be caused by 3 things

1. power supply
2. back light itself
3. back light inverters

I welcome you to get it checked out. Remember we aren ot there prsent so it would be hard to make a 100 percent dead on answer.

I can suggest you to use fresh batteries for the remote, and unplug the TV for a while (30 minutes) then plug it back in. Perhaps, the panel where those buttons go might not be making a good contact. It is my understanding that this TV has a 90 day warranty.

I emailed the Memorex company and a company tech informed me that only the remote control that came with the set would work. Lloyd

10463 worked for me.

1343 is the closest one I've found that works, it will turn the TV off and on, control the volume, and enables mute. The only other thing it doesn't do is change the video input, I'm still working on finding that. If this helps, please give me some kudos.

I have not seen such a setting, but an easy fix is to put a small piece of electrical tape over the light.  If you'd rather have a fix with a bit more style, use a sticker you like.

Hi! I realize that you posed a couple years ago, but I am having the same problem with my relatively new Memorex MLT 3221 model. How did you solve it??? I have tried every 'layman' solution that I can think of! Please help!
