Keys locked It started the other day. I went golfing and my phone was in my pocket; then I got a call but when I answered it there was nothing. The keys didn't work when I tried to call them back. the next day it was a little better most of the keys worked. after all day in my pocket at work they all stopped working again. now I got nothing!! I have removed the battery, tried cooling the phone down, left it off for a while, and nothing has worked. I have some very important information on my phone!! (important to me anyway) Is there anything else anyone can suggest? I carry insurance on the phone and can get it replaced for $50 but I still need to get the numbers n data off it.

Oh and the only button that works and has continued to work ALWAYS is the red power/hang-up button

Ok I saved all my numbers to my phone and not my sim card, because when I would save them to my sim card they would come up in the address book 2 times. Plus any scheduled events saved in the calender would be lost too; right?

You can get any Mini USB cable and a phone management software and backup the phone onto your computer, then when you get the new phone you can restore the information from your old phone onto this one. Also there is a Keypad memory battery inside the phone by the speaker, this is a cheap part and an easy fix and from the sound of it that's what is wrong.

Try moving your SIM card to an exact model borrowed phone...like at a Motorola kiosk at the local shopping mall...to retrieve the data

Setting clock

I don't think I have ever seen it on a corded phone but other Siemens portable phones have a button one can push (typically, one needs to hold the button down for a second or two) which locks the keyboard so that nothing can be done except answer calls until the keyboard is unlocked again (this is primarily to avoid accidentally depressing buttons while the phone is in a pocket which is why I would not expect to see it on a corded phone). Look over the keys and see if any of them have an icon like a lock or key (mine has an icon like a skeleton key) -- if so, try holding it down for a bit and see if anything changes (like a message saying "unlocked").

My VW golf TDi won't start since I changed my battery. It started fine for three days and now there is absolutely nothing there when I turn the key not even a click. Please help

1. Do all lights, accessories, central locking system etc in the car all operate normally.

2. Have you tested to see if the car starts when you try jump starting from another vehicle.

3. What warning lights were displaying on the vehicle a day or 2 before you had the problem.

4. Were you having the same starting problems with the old battery that you have just replaced.

My phone takes pictures, by itself, when it's closed. Make it Stoooooooooop!!

Unfortunately, on that model there is not an option to lock your side keys. (and one of your side keys is a camera key) Your best bet is to buy a case and keep it in that while it's in your pocket or purse.

Car is locked

There really is only one answer to your troubles...you need to call a locksmith, it's gonna cost a few dollars, but it's the best way to get in......or, depending on how busy your police departments are, they have been known, in some locations, to help people get thier keys out.

Good luck, I hope this helps you.

Nothing on the screen

We took out the battery and tried to charge the phone with only the SIM card and it started up for some reason.  This helped for a few days and then went out again.  If you have your emei number on your phone on back of battery, it might be under warranty and you can get it fixed through motorola.
