I have a r52wh74 rca hdtv flatscreen the tv menue keep on poping up fast on the screen and the volume goes up and down

Thats a common issue with that chassis ITC222A which is always caused by the small signal board needing replacement. You should be able to get the small signal board from www.tvrepairworld.com

You need to re-solder the circuit board that contains the STK convergence modules. They're on the center circuit board attached to an aluminum heat sink that's about 8" long and 6" tall, about dead center in the circuit board. You may be able to recreate the problem (hour glass effect) by gently moving the heat sink (which the modules are connected to). This gives the hour glass effect on the picture and the advanced convergence screen. This is an indication that the modules pins aren't solidly connected (meaning soldered) properly. Remove the circuit board and clean the old solder off & resolder the modules pins to the circuit board reconnected the board and then retest by again pushing on the heat sink. This is a caused by a minimum effort (a.k.a. minimum cost) solder job, probably done in some 3rd world sweat shop. The "factory" job was good enough for 3-4 years but the heat (and these modules do create a lot of heat) and stress created from repeated use eventually takes it's toll, weakens the pin connections and our problem occurs. take the appropriate cautions working around the high voltage of the set & use a non-conduting piece of wood to push the heat sink when we doing tests. Best of luck, hope ya fix it.

RCA R52WH74 HDTV Television MAKES NOISE POWERING ON

Thats the classic sign of a failed deflection board. You can get the ITC222A deflection board which comes with warranty and installation instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com its listed as the ITC222A remanufactured deflection board under the RCA CRT Projection Circuit Board catagory

My RCA R52WH74 chassis # ITC222A wont turn on. The green power light comes on for about 10 seconds then shuts off. No picture, no sound. How do I fix it? Buying a new TV just isn't in out budget!

That model is famous for having issues with the deflection board failing. Replacing the deflection board should solve the issue. You can get replacement deflection board for the ITC222A chassis from www.tvrepairworld.com under the RCA circuit boards catagory.

I have an RCA model # R52wh74 that will work great but the ptoblem is that after it is on it will shut of what part do you recommend

I would recommend to check dry/ cold solder joints/connection in deflection circuit board (left side) and also check lose connections in convergence circuit board.
Resolder all those cold/dry solder joints in circuit board to get tv back in service.
Thanks.

Circuit board needs replaced

I replaced mine, it's called the Deflector board. Some people call it the flyback board after the flyback transformer that is located on it. I found one on Ebay for 25 bucks a while back, so good luck. Troll ebay or find someone that is giving their tv away on craigslist because the convergence or a bulb is bad. Don't base it just on your specific model of TV though because many of them share this common board.

Try part #271827. That was the part number of the board I won on Ebay.

You will have to remove the small control panel printed circuit board from the front of your unit & inspect it for cracks on the board or bad tact switch/s.
