Since it's almost been a year I would contact the manufacturer. If you've just been using it regularly, then it has to be a manufacturer defect. It happens from time to time, sometimes you just get a bad one. But before you do that you could try accessing your menu, going to picture, and making sure the brightness is turned up, if it is, then I would think about using your warranty.
If the unit is under warranty, return it to the manufacturer for a replacement or a refund.
What you need t check is that the voltages from the printed circuit boards to the LCD panel are giving the correct voltages, also check the logic printed circuit board for shorted components or incorrect voltage values, if after checking the voltages frim each printed circuit board, everything is testing ok, the problem may be that you need a replacement LCD panel. But make sure to throughly check the main printed circuit board for any faulty solder jouints , or dry joints, as well as any blown or shorted components. I hope this helps. Good luck.
1. You will need to check the units instruction manual. This sounds like the LCD TV is in the "timer" mode that is the tv is set for 120, 90, 30 minutes and then turns itself off. 2. It also maybe a circuit built into the TV to protect the electronic components and will shut down the unit when it senses a heat or voltage change ( this can be a manufacturing defect) call the manufacturer and see if this is a recall. Some time the manufacturer will replace the unit even if it is a gift from the company you work for. The unit has already been purchased and has full warranty status. Hope this helps.
If you unplugged the Ysus board, then you need to replace the Ysus board, or both sustain boards. This is the part: The part is often available on Ebay, or from manufacturer. Look also at Vance baldwin or Partstore. To do a good job the Sustain boards should be tested by a tech , following service manual. It is almost for sure sustain board by the way.
If you're registering the product you normally have to go through the manufacturer for the product. For a Sanyo TV you register through Sanyo. Usually there are postage paid postcards or envelopes within the instructions for your devices. Fill those out and mail them in.
Your problem lies in the Power supply. I am an authorized tech for Sanyo, and in the Chattanooga TN
area. Contact Sanyo at 1-800-877-5036. At the prompt hit the 0 key, and
then ask for customer service. They will be more then happy to assist. If your set is to old for warranty repair you can purchase PWB's at www.shopjimmy.com, they sell used functional circuits at a fraction of the cost.
If the TV is less than one year old, I would suggest to call the place where you bought it from and ask them for an authorized repair centre.
The TV should be still covered under manufacturers warranty.
