Why does my new indesit washer not lather

Hello there! Have you ever emptied the pump filter? it could be thinking it's getting blocked even tho it's draining Ok, when i do my monthly clean on my machines, i check the pump capsules every time, just in case?

There is a very good chance that there is a sock or small garment blocking the water drain. You can check by pulling the rubber gasket, in the rear of the tub, forward and with a flashlight check for any obstruction.
The other solution might be to change to an HE detergent and measure the correct amount of detergent. You should not have an excess of lather in a front load machine. I have begun purchasing the individual pods that you just toss into the washer since they insure the correct amount.

It depends upon the powder that you use. Most washing machine powders/fluids are not meant to 'lather/sud' as the froth can affect the aparent water level sensors- they think it's water when it isn't! That is why it is not advisable to use hand wash powders, which do lather (mostly artificially by the way!), in machines. Are the clothes coming out clean? If so I would not worry about it ;-0)

First thing to try is to use the capsules and see if they work. Try reducing the detergent a little.

you need to change your fabric softner or do hot washers cold washers
dont work as well try hot washers that will work ok

I don't know how you are administering the soap powder to the machine..but for one, its recommended that you use detergent thats made exclusively for the front loader washer, usually says "he" on the front of the LIQUID detergent, they recommend that you use liquid detergent on top of that, BUT if you have to use regular powder detergent it must be put inside the tub and NOT the pull out detergent drawer. The reason why they want you to use liquid is because the powder detergent is not concentrated and when you use it, it lathers up alot and its harder for the front loader machine to clean out the clothes and I was told that they (sales agents) have heard of soap suds and bubble floods coming from the machine due to either using the powder detergent or using too much. Check drain pump for any blockage.Pump accessible by removing lower panel,on bottom front of machine.Also try liquid instead of wash powder,and make sure that you are using automatic powder as other will foam in machine.
