My hp desktop do not have a pink slot.. where do i plug my mic.

buy a mic for a PC, plug it into the back next to the audio out (should be pink (audio in)).

Plug them into the corresponding green and pink jacks.The pink is for the mic and the green is for the headphones.

Download and install the sound driver for that desktop board. After downloading the drivers click the option and automatically it will search for the microphone.
Read also the owners manual for the right socket where to insert the mics jack, pink color is the usual slot.

Usually the cables are color coded. Green is the speakers and pink is the microphone. That's the colours you should have on the jacks ports on your PC. It should have a microphone image next to it as well.

The speaker cable usually has a green plug on it.
You should find audio ports for at least audio out ( green ) and audio in or mic ( pink )
So plug it into the green audio in if you have 1

I just borrowed this picture. Anyway, you plug the microphone jac on the PINK slot. Green is for the speakers or the sound output.

hi im josh in cebu phils. may i help you friend? to turn on your web cam. first you need to plug in the usb connector cable built in your cam and also the mic.plug to the pink slot for  mic. and usb for usb socket at the back or in front of your pc if available then you install the cd driver built with your cam.you install the driver completely then you reboot your pc.after rebooting you will see the icon zoom and cam in the desktop, you may click then bang! you mean the slot in the pc, or some kind of reader?

On the back of your PC, there should be these colorful inputs. One is green, one is pink, and one is light blue. Plug it into the pink slot.
