Electric LG DLEX2801W motor stopped mid cycle. Still spins but slowly and loudly

Clothes got snagged on lint catcher mid cycle which caused the motor to stop. Now when starting dryer starts very slowly and makes weird noises and not running properly. Any ideas on what might need replacing?

Forgot to put the lint trap back into LG Ventless Dryer DLEC855W. Clothing might have gotten stuck inside. Dryer now making grinding noise and drum is moving slowly. Is it time to call a repairman?

The filter simply allows the dryer air to pass through and trap the lint so it will not collect in the exit tube or on the outer vent parts. If anything, the clothes inside the bin will just spin around and be there when you finish. The noise inside the dryer could be from something that was in the pant or shirt pocket and was floating around.

My washer isnt wanting to pump water out like it use to and the spin cycle isnt wanting to spin ,the pumps is making a loud un normal sound.i checked filters they are fine.lots of lent is coming out w

Your drain motor is likely failing slowly. Lint cleaning is a great maintenance step but over time there's lint and debris build up on the motor and probably drain lines. Check your drain hose to make sure it's clear as an easy fix. Otherwise look to getting quotes on parts replacement, starting with that motor.

After spin cycle clothes r still soaking wet. cleaned coin catcher. ideas???

If the spin cycle is kicking in, then you can be pretty sure that the water has all emptied from the drain cycle, otherwise it wouldn't start the spin. So the chances are the coin catcher clean was not going to be the fix. The Highest probability is simply a case of overload. If the load is to great and the balance is thrown off as a result then it won't get up to full speed (the motor has several windings, so it slowly steps up from a slow spin, then up a step, then another, then full speed. poor loads will cause it to fail to kick in the fastest spin. Having said this, if that's not the case, then I'm afraid to say you may well have a motor, or a controller module fault. If so, it could get expensive.

To test, run the shortest cycle you can with the machine empty. It will be a lot easier to hear and see this way. Make sure that you hear the empty pump eject the water and that you then hear it runn on a little after all the wayer is gone. This will show if it IS in fact enptying completely. Presuming it is, now watch and listen as the spin kicks in. Does it reach full speed when there is no load? If it does, then check the weight of your DRY load doesn't exceed the recommended load (remember a pound over weight will be several pounds overweight once wet!). If it doesn't get up to full speed with no clothes in it, I'm afraid its time to call an engineer.

I have th lg dlgx3002w dryer. the garments get hung up in the lint filter and tears the garment. the edge of the filter is slightly melted. what causes this and how can i keep this from happening again?

I had the same problem. My LG dryer lint trap did the same thing and I ordered another one for replacement. The new lint trap is not rounded on the batton on the corner below where it got bent up and snagged your clothes. The new one is cut at a slight 45 degree angle. I believe that LG changed the design a little so clothes won't get hung up on that edge. Go to this site and you will see a picture of the replacement part. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/lg-dryer-lint-filter-adq56656401-ap4457244.html

The dryer is causing the breaker to trip

The vents are most likely stoped up . All the lint & anything around the fan all the way to the outside vent needs cleaned . I have found a lot of things in front of the fan nails coins & whatever that were in clothes pockets sometimes the lint or other things won't let the fan turn & the breaker or thermal fuse to blow. Hope this helps

Washer shakes terribly in spin cycle

Does the floor or the walls shake? If they do you have to beef up the flooring under your washer, with blocks between the floor joists, piers, or sistering of the joists. If there is no shaking of the floor or walls, and your washer is solid on the ground, leveled and not rocking, then it is your washer. Lg has problems with too much vibration in their washers. Check to make sure that your lint filter/coin catcher is clean. Open the door in the bottom front, put a towel down to catch the water, Unplug the washer, and unscrew the large plastic screw that is the filter for your washer. If this has debris in it clean it out completely. Look in the hoses also, if your water drain is restricted by lint or coins or other debris, the washer has clothes in it that are wetter and heavier than they should be, and this will cause sever vibration. Electrolux washer stopped in mid cycle with clothes in will not empty water out. What do I check. Brian

Most likely something caught in the pump. Coins and balls of lint are real common.

My dryer has been difficult to start lately especially if stopped mid cycle. The lights are all on but it won't start up. Today I only used it 2 times and it was very difficult to start after pressing many...

You may be experiencing "Heat Retention" by stopping your dryer mid-cycle, which you should NOT ever have to do! If you have a minor vent restriction or if you open the dryer mid-cycle when the heat is on, this will cause a disruption in the airflow and rising temperatures can keep the dryer from restarting until it has been cooled long enough.
Check your vent all the way to the outside for restrictions/obstructions every 6 months. Clean your lint filter after each load and DO NOT stop the dryer mid-cycle!
Note: Stopping the dryer mid-cycle can also cause severe burns and even melt polyester fibers.

LG TROMM DRYER DLE5977 Burning Smell

It is a POS dryer, we have the same one. My suggestion get another dryer. We vacuumed it all out (don't you have a problem with the lint catcher?) Then it started loud pounding noise, which a lot of people seem to have the same problem, then our sensor went out and we had to dry the clothes 5-10 x's...now crack in stainless steel drum and is chewing up all our expensive clothes!

the water leaking back in may be due to a fill valve not fully shuting off allowing water to leak into washer after shut off...reclean pump ck as far as possible into pump itself something may be hung in impeller the shaking may be due to excess water in clothes causing off balance and shaking ..cleaning pump may solve problem..if possible pull pump completely out to clean ck pump impeller to be sure it has not come loose on motor shaft this would also cause slow or no pump out ..if impeller is loose replace pump..good luck
