JVC AV-36260 No Sound No Picture Red Light Blinks Copntinuously

I have a JVC AV-36260 that suddenly stopped working. I turned it on one morning, heard the usual initial click and the TV was blank with no sound and the standby light started continuously blinking. I unplugged the TV and let it sit a few hours, then tried plugging it back in and it worked fine. This continued for a few days until eventually it would not turn on at all. I was thinking maybe it was a cold solder joint. Any ideas?

Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

JVC AV-F29MX3 I was watching a film on my DVD connected to the TV, when suddenly the screen turns black with no sound heard. Also the front light indicating 'ON TIMER' and 'ECO' started blinking in red...

usually after 4 or 5 yrs EHT ( transformer that supplies voltage to tube ) becomes weak - then TV won't get ON.. means no picture no sound ..but LED blinks - in some TVs along with EHT 1 or 2 components like resistor, transistors, etc will also gets deffective .................. so solution is TV circuit board has to be checked to find whether only EHT is deffective or other components are also deffective.......... price of EHT will be between Rs.250 (US$ 5) to Rs.600 ( US$ 12) ........iam from bangalore ( 09986222774, [email protected] ) .....i don't have any idea about EHT component's price & service charge in your area........this problem cannot be solved by user unless user is a technical person having idea about components (resistors, transistors,diodes,...etc..), having multimeter , soldering iron & other tools...so my suggestion call TV service engineer or contact jvc service centre.........

The on light is blinking but there is no picture or sound.

I have the same problem with my JVC AV27750, the problem is probably the power supply relay circuit, just check and replace the 1000uf capacitor

Jvc av 36950 went off while watching, the same sound that you get when you turn set off. No sound, no picture, no red power light

This TV has a common problem. I've found dozens of owners with the same complaint. See the following blog for a simple fix for your set. I tried it and it worked and I spent under 2 bucks to fix it myself at home!

Good Luck......Kim

Jvc 48" tv model av-48wp34

Sounds like you lost the High Voltage. The beating sound is the power supply trying to start up. After a predetermined time it will quit to protect the set. This is a very common problem and typically not that much to repair. If you are not an electronics repair technician you should find a reputable repair shop and enlist their services. I would not think the cost should exceed $150.00 to repair. Good luck.
