I have a JVC AV-36260 that suddenly stopped working. I turned it on one morning, heard the usual initial click and the TV was blank with no sound and the standby light started continuously blinking. I unplugged the TV and let it sit a few hours, then tried plugging it back in and it worked fine. This continued for a few days until eventually it would not turn on at all. I was thinking maybe it was a cold solder joint. Any ideas?
Try this blog I found on this site. I have the same model and problem with my JVC TV set and I was able to fix it for 2 bucks at home by myself.
Good Luck...Kim

Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
