LTV-32W4 HDC Std Cable

Okay, when switched to TV std cable all I get is a blue screen w/ sound. If I switch it to TV w/ antenna the screen rolls like a horizontal problem, but either case the HDTV plays just fine and crystal clear. Any Ideals? The TV used to play fine, but as soon as I bought a new TV for the family room it started this , honestly.

SOURCE: Westinghouse LTV-32w4 HDC widescreen DVD Combo

Hi Mouse999. From reading a bit, it seems that there's no region free hacks for the built in dvd player in that specific model. A solution for you, would be to purchase a standalone dvd player, one that is region free or one that has a region free hack available, and to connect it to that tv. If you're in europe and your tv is pal, you also need to have a dvd player that will read both Pal and NTSC video dvd's ! If that doesn't help, please be more specific, i'll be glad to help. Thanks, cheebster.

My 42" Westinghouse HDMI inputs just stopped working. I thought it was the TW Explorer 4250HDC issue so I got a new one from TW. Still said no signal from HDMI. So, I shut the TV down and pulled the power cord out of the back. I waited a few seconds and reconnected the pwr cord. The TV "re-booted" so to say and now the HDMI inputs work. I think TVTEK has the right idea that it is firmware/software related. In the mean time, you might want to give that a try.

SOURCE: how to remove dvd drive for Westinghouse LTV-32w4

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Westinghouse-LTV-32w4-HDC-TVs-manual/id/278ci973/t/2/
First you would have to get a service manual, this shows you all you need to know about the unit. Without it, it is very difficult to even remove the case. but once inside, it is basically a simple task, to find the drive, remove the fastenings, and the Cable, obtain an EXACT replacement HDD, and reverse the procedure, it may pay to format the HDD first, FAT32, I believe, although your manual will be more specific.

My Westinghouse LTV-32w4 HDC has went green. Sound is perfect, but the screen is solid green. Doesn't matter whether it's the cable box or the internal DVD. It's solid green.

Sound problem

Go into your TV settings and change the Automatic Volume Control Sound Mode. It's probably at Dynamic and the TV is trying to adjust the volume. The popping sound may be caused by static electricity building up on the circuits of your TV or cable.

Does this also happen when you are watching a video/DVD?

Westinghouse Green Screen

You can also try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

Westinghouse LTV-32w4 HDC - adjustment buttons unresponsive, volume drop, etc.

plug your cable connection to a vcr "in" then run a seperate cable cord from the vcr "out" to your television (which should be on channel 3 or 4) depending on your vcr setting and use the vcr to control the channel so when your westinghouse freezes and becomes unresponsive you could still change the channel and so on through your vcr and tv acts like a monitor works for me. N.B be sure to set the volume and so on before it freezes which could be like a 1min window from turning your tv on
