Before you remove the back cover, need to unscrew the nails from the back cover. then remove the keyboard (carefully remove the connector ribbon cable), then the top cover nails, after carefully removing the ribbon cables. Then the screws for the display panel. Remove the nails in the motherboard following the markings of the manufacturer. Finally you can take off the back cover separately as required. This procedure has to be followed and the experience is a must to avoid damages to the equipment. Get some professional advice before proceeding.

.... there is no back cover - it is part of the metal frame 'housing'. You can remove the base, the top cover, the end cover (handwheel end), the cover on the freearm. You can access the spool pin fixing by taking off the top cover.

To remove back leg: pull off round end caps where leg connects to back (pressure fit). Then remove black stickers covering screw holes at base of leg. Under stickers are 4 screws - remove and lift off leg assembly.

Remove back cover: remove 7 black screws from back (one hiding under warranty sticker). Lift back from bottom edge (pressure connections on top edge). Back cover will catch on cd/dvd tray door - bend slightly to get around.

Under back cover is metal cover. Remove screws from around edge holding back cover on (note that most screws you will see in pairs - only remove the one holding the metal cover, not the one holding the chassis). Lift off metal cover.

You should now see hdd. One screw holding in position - remove screw, slide out hdd (it will have a metal frame around it). HDD is a 2.5" laptop style.

Swap out hdd from its frame, then re-assemble.

Looking from the front of the printer. Unclip the left hand cover from the back and the right hand cover from the front. At the back you will see four screws holding the back cover on. remove these along with the back cover.Then you'll see two screws at the back holding the grey top cover on, remove these and the one screw at the front . Remove the top grey cover and in the middle of the printer you'll see a black plastic box, this is the scanner.

2 remove case
3 looking at front pcb remove screws to front face cover
4 carefully remove front fase cover
5 look at LCD there are to small lamps on sides
6 replace lamps
7 replace cover
8 put screws back in
9 put case cover back on
10 put knobs back on

All screws have been remove right? Ok, theres clips locking down the back cover at the side of the LCD. What you can do is by using a flat head screw driver push into the side of the LCD and bend to remove the cover and the clips.

Pull back cover ALL the way down.
remove 2 silver screws
pull off back cover...difficult but doable
remove tall gray cover on left
remove black wiring cover on right, unplug 2 connectors and keeper
remove 2 silver screws
remove curved feed guide in front of fuser bottom.
pull out fuser
reassemble

You need to disable your laptop.
follow this step:

Remove harddrive.
1. on the back of laptop, there are 2 doors. open it all. 1 of them is harddrive.
2. remove harddrive.

Remove wireless cable.
1. open 2nd door on the back, you can see rams and wireless card. unplug wireless cable from wireless card.

Remove chassis
1. Remove 2 screws on the hinge cover, so you can remove the power cover (power cover is cover that have power button).
2. after you removed power cover, removed keyboard.
3. remove 4 screws that hold lcd from chasiss. you can remove lcd now.
4. remove 3 screws under keyboard.
5. remove all screw on the back of your laptop.
6. remove upperchassis.
7. remove 2 screw that hold motherboard from lowerchasis.
8. take motherboard out from lowerchasiss.
9. now you can see the thermal fan.
