Samsung WA5451ANW top will not open. Code

Samsung WA5451ANW top load 4.7 washer. Code "LO". After cycle lock mechanism clicks three times then throws LO code. I unplugged and got the same result several times. Manual says to call for maintenance. I can not find a manual online to show how to remove the top manually. I would like to open the washer and disable the lock, no children in house. Thank you.

Have you tried to tilt the washer? When I tilted my washer 15 - 30 degrees and then I could open the lid. My problem was that I had a clogged filter I have not seen before.

Hi.

The error code is not 5D but SD, which means slow drain detected.

Check drain hose. Check drain filter attached to the pump. Check pump itself and pressure switch.

Rinse and spin cycle keeps repeating at 11 minute time to 17 minute time and won't stop

Sounds like your washer does not empty enough water for the spinning to stop. Have you check that the filter(s) are not clogged?

I have a Samsung top load washer #WA5451ANW. Will only fill with water. Had to turn the power off so machine would stop filling with water.

Possible that the cut off to the Inlet valve has failed which means that the controller unit is a suspect. Also if the inlet valve is staying ON even when the power is cut off , then it is a case of inlet valve failure.

Im getting a "LO" error

Hello,

The LO error code means the LID OPEN

Here is what the techicians service manual say to check

LO Door failed to unlock Door lock monitor switch does not indicate to the machine control board that the solenoid in the door lock mechanism retracted and unlock the door. 1.Check for debris inside inside the door lock mechanism, which may be jamming the lock solenoid. 2.check wire connections in harness leading from machine control board to door lock mechanism.
3.Check the door lock monitor switch for welded contacts.
4.Replace responsible component.

Remove three screw at bottom of washer, pull of lower panel, reach up on right side just under the locking mechanism and bull ring down. door should unlock.
