My driver cd broken i need the drivers for visioneer fu66bg 5800
No prollem! In fact, my solution for this particular scanner also works on many other scanners and other equipment in general. It turns out that the power supply must be sending the appropriate CURRENT to the scanner, regardless that it is the correct VOLTAGE. I'm a computer tech and I discovered this when I happen to have two scanners that used the same voltage power supply. I just grabbed one and plugged it in to each of them and neither scanner reacted properly. But the power supply was Very warm, indicating it was doing its best to keep up with the current requirements of both scanners. So I plugged in the correct power supply and voile, both worked perfectly.
Lesson learned. In fact, one of the many possible solutions given on the Visioneer site is to plug the power supply directly into the wall as opposed to using a power strip. Obviously this would allow the power supply to draw as much current as it needed thus solving the same problem I had, low current. I read another person's complaint that they had no problem with their scanner for a couple years and then suddenly this error was popping up. Well obviously the old power supply was no longer doing it's job, and would have to be replaced.
Spread the word! These devices are sensitive to the level of power that they can draw.
Oh, by the way, the proper voltage is 12V (positive tip), and the current is 1.25A.
