Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them. Always try downloading the appropriate driver first, but if it just doesn't work you can always use the postscript version of the HP Laser-jet 4 driver in the Windows driver list and still get most functionality under Vista on almost all HP laser printers.
