Removal of front cabinet panel of washer section

to remove the front panel on the washer you have to remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the panel then the panel will drop down out of the slip and groove hooks and you can remove panel

-remove four crews (#8 on diagram) from left and right sides.
-remove one screw (at #21 on diagram) from the bottom of the panel.
-remove #7 panel from the left and right side
- this will expose a thin metal catch (#9) on each side. With a small finger or screw driver, push down on the top of this metal strip where it bends horizontally. This will compress the spring (#14) and release the catch.
- the control panel will fold down now.

On this particular model you drop the splash plate like this
once you have that out of the way you would then remove the cabinet by pop some sclips like on a direct drive washer
Then the case comes of like this:

Your model number ain't a good one so I just had these photos in my PC and I have worked on one like that before. If the panel dont come off the front like this:
then it is like the photo above. See kenmore makes a stack frigidaire washer dryer like this here but they also make a direct drive thin twin.

Removal of the front panel requires the removal of the top cover and the console. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Remove the 2 screws attaching the top cover to the rear of the dryer then slide it rearward to clear the screw head from the top cover flange and lift the cover off the dryer cabinet.

Remove the screws securing the heater PCB board and disconnect the black and white wiring harness connectors from the board.

Remove the four screws attaching the console to the washer cabinet and rotate the console down to remove it from the dryer.

Remove the four screws attaching the top of the front panel to the cabinet and the two screws at the bottom of the door opening.

Pull the front panel forward and disconnect the interior light wiring harness then lift the front panel off the tabs across the bottom and move it away from the dryer.

Reinstall the front panel, the console, and the top cover in reverse of the removal steps.

When the pads on the front wear, it will make noise when running. They can be replaced. There is one on the top and one on the bottom rim where the drum turns. You remove the front to access them by removing the screws on the top. Post your model number for diagrams. It's usually stamped on a small tag in a visible location on your appliance.

Top of the cabinet you may found the screws around the operational panel gently remove the screw of top and see that inlet valve in it probably two screws will be present in it you can easily remove and replace the new inlet valve

you have to take the bottom panel off of the dryer. The panel that the washer lid hids when you open the washer.

first of all. comming from a Sears Technician.. (don't yell) -- the delivery drivers only know about delivering stuff. they dont know too much,
if the two are the same size they can be stacked.
sometimes have to rig something up
and yes, for that model the top is removed, clips go on the rear and screwed at the front.
in some areas it is sold seperatly as a stacking kit

Their are screws between the washer and dryer. Undo those and the screws inside the dryer, next too and below the lint trap.
