SOURCE: Meade, model: 6600, 6", need instruction manual & eye pieces

Sorry about Meade's responses, but their website has a download section for the telescope manuals - you may not find one that matches exactly, as they produce hundreds of models, but one that is close should suffice. As for eyepieces, there are several good vendors out there; Orion Telescopes, Meridian etc. Just check the barrel size; either .965" (Japanese standard) or 1.25" (American standard).

SOURCE: meade LX200GPS telescope

The front panel for the telescope has an internal fuse. Remove the screws and look at the circuit board for a fuse. Replace with the same type and rating. The telescope has a diode with the fuse that gives some protection against reverse polarity, and the telescope should function on this fix.

Hi there.
I have a meade 4501 telescope and it comes with a battery pack which contains 19 x 1.5v AA batteries. I also use my 12 volt adaptor which works fine and has never needed more power.Hope this helps.

SOURCE: have this telescope model 60AZ-m

Look here:

http://www.meade.com/manuals/TelescopeManuals/Refractors/NG-NGC%20manual.pdf

or under the REFRACTOR header -- just go through the refractor manuals until you find one that is similar to your scope -- they are all assembled and used in a similar fashion.

I just bought a meade telescope from a thrift store. I cannot find the model number on it. It seems to work fine, but it is missing the power cord. It may be too old to get a replacement, but I won't know...

Telescopes do not have serial numbers-- except for a few custom made scopes. Most actually have names and numbers like LX90, LX200, RCX, ETX90, and so forth.

This is probably a small refractor, or reflector style Meade scope. Look under the refractor header or the 4.5 inch reflector header at the manuals and see if you can match up a manual to your scope:

I have just aquired a Jupiter D60mm/f800mm telescope (made in Japan). No instruction manual included and as I am a complete beginner I am lost!! I think this model is quite old but don't know the model...

Meade maintains all their manuals on this web site-- look under the REFRACTOR heading for one that is similar to your scope. You will not find an exact manual for that telescope; but they all assemble and are used in a similar fashion.

A friend just gave my daughter an old, used Meade 223S telescope. Anybody have an idea where I can get an instruction manual. I've checked dozens of web sites, but can't find one that has that model...

If one exists it will be on Meade's web site here:

http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.html

This is a very simple refractor style telescope- LOOK under the headed REFRACTOR for one similar to your telescope.

Maybe this one?
