Purple Panasonic PC>TV Problem:
The VGA cable uses three primary color RGB channels.
Red, Green, and Blue.
The picture is made up of pixels or dots arranged in a grid along the "X" horizontal axis and "Y" vertical axis.
The computer mixes the intensity of each color channel to create a unique color per pixel.
All RGB at 100% creates white.
R+G creates yellow.
R+B creates magenta, ie purplish.
G+B creates cyan.
So a purplish tint sounds as if your Green wire has no signal, which may indicate a faulty VGA cable or VGA socket.
Put another way, (R+G+B)-G=R+B=magenta.
So try another VGA cable, spray all socket pins with "Servisol " or similar contact cleaner.
0%<--------->100%
Cyan<------->Red
Magenta<--->Green
Yellow<------>Blue
All 0%=Black; All 50%=Grey; All 100%=White.

SOURCE: LG 37LC7D Connect to VGA from a PC

Your right. I just had the same "Invalid Input" issue as well and it completely relates to the resolution compatability with any VGA or HDMI connection. Check the LG website for the online manual if you don't have it and see the section on RGB-PC cable. There is a table that incdicates the Resolutions the LG product is capable of displaying.

Thanks for the help.

SOURCE: no picture when vga cable is connected

Most tvs can only handle a couple resolutions (ie 640x480) through the pc input. Even some HD tvs can only do 480. Check that your video is turned on and setup to the acceptable resolutions.

right click your desktop
go to properties
click settings tab
click on the 2nd monitor
make sure the box is clicked at the bottom
"extend my windows desktop onto this monitor"

SOURCE: how do i connect my pc to my toshiba 42X3030D TV?

In the user manual it says what resolutions are supported. I think you have to adjust your resolution on your PC to match one of those listed.

What type of cord do I use to connect my PC to HDMI

Hello
There are two types of connections can be done with PC to TV, according to TVs inputs. If TV has a VGA input socket, a VGA to VGA cable is necessary. If the TV has only HDMI input socket, a VGA to HDMI cable is needed.

HOW CAN I HOOK THE Panasonic TH-42PX75U TO THE VGA OUTPUT ON MY COMPUTER?

If your computer has an HDMI socket, all you need is an HDMI cable. If not you need a VGA cable (the blue cable that usually connects a computer to it's monitor. One end goes into the socket on your TV marked VGA or PC. the other end goes into the monitor output on your computer. if you have a laptop, there will be a vga socket (usually blue inlay in the socket) on the side or back. you will then need to set up the second screen in Control panel, display settings. If using the VGA cable, you will need to run an audio cable from the speaker/headphone socket of your computer to your tv (there will be a 3.5mm jack near the VGA socket) or to your audio receiver.
Good luck.

You can buy an HDMI to DVI adapter (around 20$) to connect your HDMI computer cable to your TV. You will need separates audios cables, right and left, to bring the sound to the TV.

I am trying to connect my Acer Aspire 7720-6155 to my Panasonic television model number TH-42PX600U. Can you please help

You have 2 outputs on the Acer - S-Video, and VGA.

The TV has both inputs as well. Choose one (I prefer S-Video of the two), and get a cable for that type of connection.

On your TV, select the appropriate input source. You may have to cycle thru all the choices until you find it.

On the laptop, the S-Video should activate automatically, for the VGA, you may have to use the Fn Key plus one of the Functions keys for "Dual Monitor" mode.

By the way, Panasonic has free help for you lucky Viera series owners, try this web page:

Hook up for dell inspiron 6000 to panasonic th-50px80u

the TV supports resolutions as follows:-

VGA (640 × 480 pixels), WVGA (852 × 480 pixels),
XGA (1,024 × 768 pixels), WXGA (1,366 × 768 pixels)

You need to set the PC desktop res to one of these resolutions and then simply connect the VGA o/p on the laptop to the PC input on the TV. You can also connect the audio out of the PC to the TV if you wish by connecting the audio into AV2 audio input on the TV

The other option would be to use the S video o/p on the PC and connect into AV3 input (audio inc) but I suspect the picture quality will be better via the VGA

Please post back if you have other questions or problems.
