Troybilt Rototiller. Most likely the Pony model. Tiller is about 50 years old. Belt slips. I put on a new belt last year. Is there any adjustment of the pullies to tighten the belt?

On the engagement lever where it locks in.The lock block will wear on the bottom or the engagement lever gets bent. What we did was weld a brace to the engagement lever and maybe a little build up on the block where the wear is.

I have a 3x21 inch craftsman belt sander. It's about 12 years old. With the sand paper belt is mounted and tightened and I start to sand something the belt will slip and not sand. I checked the tightening...

The drive and guide rollers are probably drying out and won't grab the paper. Take the drive roller of and treat it with a rubber restoring compund. The roller should not come off easily.

Reebok 8050es treadmill walking belt has started slipping/skipping. It has been oiled and it is 2 years old.

If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. (5 to 7 cm) above the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened. If you still have slipping then the drive belt under the motor shroud can also cause this problem unplug unit remove shroud then plug unit in start it up observe the front roller to see if it stops if it does locate the tension adjusting bolt by the motor loosen motor mount and proceed adjusting until slipping has been eliminated

Belt slipping have tried to tighten, just bought used

When the belt slips, it can be 2 different places. The trick is to look at the front roller when the belt slips. If the front roller stops with the walking belt, then the drive belt (between the motor and front roller) is loose and can't be fixed by tightening the walking belt. If the drive belt is slipping, it needs to be tightened or replaced. I need the brand and model number to help you further.

Whirlpool thintwin washer does not go to rinse cycle after the wash cylce ends.

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the washer ID doesn't mean anything to me. If you have the newer type of direct drive machine, you probably have a bad lid switch. If you have the older type of v-belt drive machine, you probably have a slipping v-belt. In the normal use of the machine the belt stretches and begins to slip. If it's a slipping v-belt, you can remove the back, then get down where you can see how the motor is mounted. Then look for the nut or bolt which holds the motor in adjustment. Loosen this and move the motor to tighten the belt. Use a bar or long screwdriver or large crescent wrench to hold the belt tight while you tighten the locking nut or bolt. I usually require help at this point. With the belt tightened you are good to go for a long while. On the other hand, if you have the direct drive type, you should go to you tube and search for washer repair videos and download them, if you can. They have some wonderful step by step tutorials that are much better than you would hope for. Of course, it goes without saying, be sure to disconnect the power before you start doing anything on the machine.

GE front loader does not go into final fast spin and does not drain.

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. It sounds like you may have a slipping (loose or stretched) v-belt. See if you can get the back off and look for a way to tighten the belt. This is a frequent problem. The built in a way to tighten the belt.

I can't get my vision fitness deluxe (almost 2 years old)

Make sure the rollers are in alignment and in equal spaces apart. Also no grease or dirt present on the rollers and belts. Belt must be OEM. (original equipment manufactured). If the belt is aged, you may have to get a new one.

Belt is slipping

This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the walking belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.
