Moisture after using my Tag for nearly 5 years, the battery went dead 2 weeks ago. So I went to Tag Heuer authorize dealer in Brunei to get the batt changed for $20 Brunei dollars roughly $12US. But when I ask how long the new battery will last and the Technician replied 1 yr...wtf n i ask why the oem battery last longer and he just replied thet normal if from factory...wtf answer is that. But my main issue is when i was cleaning my Tag rinsing with water which i usually do, the next morning I could see moisture condensation inside the watch. Is it because the technician didn't seal the backplate correctly? How can i solve this problem.

Dealer in Brunei should clean streets!
You have to hurry up, because condensation inside your watch can damage metal parts very quickly and then repair price will rocket sky high.
Find decent watchmaker and ask to dry out movement and ask to test that Bahrein battery as well. Replace if needed. Ask for new seals if necessary. Pressure test is the MUST after assembling the watch. Do not leave it for another day, as I've seen in my practice completely dead movements within few days after condensation appeared.

Good Luck

Arthur

P.S. It seems to me that your TAG has a movement with low power consumption. If it was ticking for five years or so, then it will do the same after battery replacement, unless the battery is almost flat.

Tag Heuer 2000 Automatic not moving

Hi,

Sounds like your watch is in need of service. All watches need to be maintained and regular service is required. A watch is a tiny machine. So if you think about it a car needs regular maintenance to keep it running and so will any machine.

In a watch the oils dry out after about 3-5 years and they stop lubricating. Just like in a car when the oils stop lubricating the engine will stop, a watch will stop.

The reasons for this are 1) no lubrication means high friction on the moving parts. 2) the dried oils become gummy like glue and hold the gear train in place which keep the gears from moving.

The only answer is to have your watch serviced to get rid of the old lubrication, clean and replace any worn parts, then reassemble and lubricate, and finally adjust the timing.

This is something only a watchmaker should do as the parts in your watch are very small and very fragile. Improper handling can permanently damage the parts.

Hope this helps,

Where can I purchase bb0316 links for women's tag heuer band?

Hi,

If your watch is older than 4 years you can't buy links unless you get real lucky and find a watchmaker that happens to have some on hand.

Swatch sold Tag Heuer about 4 years ago to Louis Vitton. LVMH did not purchase the parts for watches made prior to the sale of the company. So all those parts are no longer available.

If your watch is less than 4 years old you can contact Tag Heuer directly for the links.

Hope this helps,

Ken

Found a TAG Heuer over 20 years ago in the ocean. Gave it to my dad that year for a Christmas present. He wore it for many years. He passed away 4 years ago and it was given back to me from my mom. It...

Unfortunately it is not possible to make any estimates over the internet. As the warranty for the watch already expired years ago, there is no reason to find any particular Tag Heuer dealer. You can visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask for an estimate.

New battery required I am in Brookfield, so can I get Support West side of Brisbane?

Any Tag Heuer dealer should be able to change your battery for you. Just go to Tag Heuer's website for a store locator. Or, just go to a search engine and type in "Authorized Tag Heuer Dealer *location*, *location*" whereas location is where you live. You will get a list of stores near you. Call them first to make sure they can do it and you're set.
Good Luck.

Tag heuer f1 2001 has stopped

Don't open it or it may not be waterproof any longer, I'd say almost certainly it's the battery, so you need to take it to a repair center to have the battery replaced

Time is slow, not accurate at TAG QUARTZ watch

Rarely but sometimes, even the jewelers batteries can be low on energy even when new.

Very unusual that an expensive watch does what you're saying.

Has the watch ever been dropped, OR does it have any noticeable scatches or scuff marks along the edges? use a magnifying glass to inspect it carefully.

if you find unusual marks or scratches, you may have been sold a bad watch too.

Tag Heuer CA 1211-RO Min. Hand resets to 59 Min.

Unscrew the crown and pull out halfway. Use the stopwatch buttons to advance the hand to where you want it. Then push the crown back in and screw it down. You may need to pull the crown out all the way--I cannot recall which setting controls the minute hand and which the hour hand on the stopwatch function. This has to be done every time the battery is changed.

Tag heuer carrera - does not work timely !!!

There is no reason to panic. Your watch needs overhaul. Find your nearest watch repairer and ask to do the job. He will be able to tell you if there are any mechanical faults.
I do not think there are any and your watch will tick as brand new after overhauling it.
Mechanical watches needs overhaul every 5-7 years.

Tag heuer carrera automatic wv211a

Your watch is a automatic. All automatics need to wind-up before being worn at first , or if not worn all the time. Automatics will work with-out being wound ,but will not keep time. Wind your watch at least 50 turns (using the crown) or shake about 150 times , and then try it . Automatics need that back-up power to insure it's accuracy.
