Flatron L1719S I got a monitor and it goes into power saving mode every time there is a little bump to the desk. then it restart. Sometimes when i put the pc on it goes into power saving mode a few times before starting windows

    my monitor change the way it should appear it is basicly up side down what should i do

    Also have a similar problem at switch on. Just after screen displays correct picture imfo it announces its going into sleep mode. Unable to recover.

I think your monitor is unstable. Is it showing power saving when you boot your PC? Does it show something when the Windows XP splash appears?

LG Flatron L177WSB-how would I use my newly purchased unit after switching it on, LG logo appears followed by the Power Saving Mode it all goes black on the screen.
Hi, the Power Saving Mode, turns the screen off to conserve energy. On the remote, press Menu, and scan to Power Saving Mode. You can change the amount of time, when the Screen turn-off, the TV shut-off etc. You can set the time to (5 min) to, (never, turn-off). This should help with your problem. Thanks paul7of9

Flatron L1953S Goes to power saving mode while playing..
I had the same problem with my LG Flatron (not the same model as your one). I fixed it by connecting both the digital and analogue cables from the pc. Presumably, the problem occurs because the monitor is not receiving a digital signal.

LG Flatron L1710S Monitor stuck in Power Save Mode
Try wiggling the Cord on the backside of the monitor.. Not the Power Plug Cord, The Other Cord that attaches to the PC. Do this once the monitor turns off , grab ahold of the cord about 2 inches from the back of the monitor, then bend the cord to the right, keep bending from the right to the left a couple times to see if your screen comes back, if it does, than you have a Loose connection and this sometimes causes the Symptoms you are receiving.. Hope it helps.

No picture
It could be a simple cap problem on the control card. But, a 17"? That may not be worth the effort. Unless you have time and curiosity to look for a damaged component on the inner board. Since it does nothing screenwise it is probably something obvious if you open it up.
